I love making beats in reason (hip hop) but this one sounds ghetto with the strings and bells. I use synths, some exotic ones even. I hate that ghetto piano/ strings stuff in hip hop beats. but nice job.

You didn't try the demo out to atleast get a grip of the program? big mistake. and you can get reason (full version) for free easily like I did in about 15 minutes or less. theres a video here on youtube. you wasted 500 bucks on something that A: is free and B: you have no clue how to use.

My advice (even though you didn't ask me) is just to never stop... No matter what.

If you just keep making music, you will keep having to solve the problems that come up in order to make the music that's in your head... By solving these problems, you learn more and become better.

Also, don't be afraid to make a shitty beat, just make what you want and move on. Sometimes, your crap ratio will be high for a while, then you'll just make a banger in 5 minutes... sometimes nothin for a month...

do u use reason 4 ? if so then the sounds im using in this video are all built into reason sound bank, that particular sound im using is called TOUCH ORCHESTRA and its in the combinator folder in the performance patches folder.
