Lakes across Canada being turned into mine dump sites

This is a shame. We have to stop this from happening. If the lakes turn into dumps in exchange for money, it doesn't help us in the long term. Twenty or thirty yrs down the road, the mine will be closed, money will be gone, and the lakes will be gone too. In the end, we will get nothing except for some short term quick cash.

uhm ya every political advisor IN THE WORLD would state that environmental stewardship should not be first priority at this time. Prime minister Harper's actions are being puppeteered by the coalition. This is to make him look bad, but also to follow liberal agenda, which in this economic downturn is highly idiotic. And also, at least harper is looking out for the middle class, and our businesses. Dion would rather spend taxes oon the poor who give little contribution to the economy. thats an excellent way to run into a deficit, which Harper had to clean up from Chretien. 1. The Liberals handed Harper a $13Billion dollar surplus. He is now spending money he has borrowed & his debt without stimulus pkg. is $15 billion dollars.Clearly Harper couldn't run a business. Their are 308 seatsin the Commons- no one gets a majority with less than 155.even JC himself(jean Chretien,not the other guy).If you mean popularity percent that's where Harper is now@ 38%- the same as the Taliban in Afghanistan,Go Figure? lol

ok I am not going to repeat myself countless times, its a PROVEN fact that Harper spent the first 2 years of his term getting Canada out of debt to to the 9+ years of Liberal leadership. The curriculum in school is teaching this, the nations leading economists have stated this, President Bush stated this even at his meeting with Mr. Harper in Ottawa. So unless your the book of knowledge and have more intelligence than the nations leading figures in economic matters, i suggest you get better info

1. Our Government was not in Debt until Harper put us there with tax cuts and RECORD spending.

2. You do know schools are provincially regulated, so I don't know what school you are referring to- perhaps Bullshit High?

4. as far as 'the nation's leading figures in economic matters' , they were ignored by Mr. Harper when he cut the GST over Income tax.
