Really good game. It has a unique style to it, at some moments it just seems like some weird psychedelic trip, but it always has a constant structure with quests and levelling up, so it's not always just mindless colours and weird floating houses (which are awesome)

@dudeburst8 I've gotten this report a few times -- I'm not sure why some people end up with a .zip -- the fix is easy though, rename the .ZIP to .JAR, and it should work!

@XboxClassic I've been happy with 3079 all throughout its development, and I don't think Minecraft "got lucky." Minecraft made a good move by involving the community throughout its entire development process -- something I also have planned to do from the start. 3079 is a really good original idea, even if you recognize some of 3079's parts in other games. Finally, 3079 would not have gotten to where it is today without the early feedback I received from places like this.

@TheBUBBLY102 Thanks man! I like talking with my supporters :-) I actually got the latest monster textures (which are not seen in this video) from Urcheon on Desura. I'm not sure what inspired him, but they look much better! Fundamentally, Humoids are "human-like aliens" and Neanders are kinda like a mix of neanderthals and hunchbacks. I used jMonkeyEngine SDK to develop 3079 -- great free development kit!

Minecraft is a game where you control the game. Everything's made of blocks that can be destroyed or moved. You can build tools to make the task of breaking/moving faster. The game even has some interesting physics in it and an entire electronics system (although it's not too compact).

The whole block thing makes it unique and beautiful. And after a while, it just feels natural.
