0:53 are u sure there is no "grand programmer trying to keep us in line"? Sigmund Freud dedicated his life to "mapping the human mind"..Edward Bernays exploited his research and developed television advertising techniques that are still used in certain forms today..they generally refer to it as "subliminal messages"...there could very well be a group of people who were sharp enough to jump on that train and are now trillionaires
@SSSTopgun1 What are you trying to accomplish by saying this? That you disagree with what is being said? Why not address that rather than being insulting with no reason? The irony here is that you don't realize your ignorance because of the fact that you are, indeed, ignorant.
It looked nice - but I felt like this one had no point. I couldn't tell if he thought this hijacking was good or not. In the middle, it seemed like he didn't (~where the tribes man was shooting the arrow) but at the end, it seemed like he liked it, and was encouraging it.
@Rulerofwax24 It's not a matter of whether or not Joe likes the idea of hijacking your reward system (even though he does), he is merely presenting the idea; that there exists as a result of evolution, specific traits for specific behaviour, and by immersing yourself in these forms of entertainment, you are unknowingly accessing that system set in place for evolutionary reasons.
i've thought of some stuff on my own before, like movies. what it they made a movie with a sad ending, people would HATE IT!! meaning...they dont like change, or ...its not entertainment if they dont get the pleasurable thrill out of it....
Do not look up to Joe look him in the eyes

Right. Now why don't you add some emotional music to your critique of the hijacking of the reward system?
