  • I love everything Bombardier makes.

I'm a NYC subway motorman, and some of the smoothest, most enjoyable trains to operate are made by Bombardier. Their planes are just as good.

I only wish Bombardier made larger aircraft to directly compete with the Boeing-Airbus duopoly.

  • @ejdf870, glad you enjoyed the video. I have never been on a CRJ flight that I have not enjoyed. Glad to hear their trains area just as good!

  • @ejdf870 They're gearing up to manufacture an airplane the size of the smaller 737/A320 series as we speak!

  • @av8n4life I hope this is the start of a third competitor in the aircraft manufacturing game. We need it to be like it was years ago, when you had Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed, and McDonald Douglas.

  • nice video..

  • @minicoopermadman, Thanks!

  • Thanks. Hopefully it's not too bad. I'm flying from Phoenix to Monterey so I hope it's a quick flight.

  • How are the seats in those? First time flying in one of those later this month. I'm 6'2" 290lbs.

  • @cman6983, they may be a bit crowded for you. CRJ's aren't the biggest planes, so keep your head low as you're boarding. Seats are a bit narrow too. The upside to all this is, CRJ's are also pretty fast. Enjoy your flight!

  • @cman6983 That's why Southwest is my choice. So much room for people like us.

  • Great engine sound !

  • lots of turbulence?

  • @Massimo2Milano, from what I remember, there was none at all. It was a great flight.

  • nice video! what seat?

  • @planar11, No sure. I shot that video about three years ago.

  • I flew to and from norfolk last september. our first flight was from AMS (Holland) to ATL with a Delta Airbus A330, then i flew from ATL to ORF with a Delta 737. on the way back I flew from ORF to DTW with a Delta Embraer-ERJ 145 (< this is just a GREAT small plane), and from DTW to AMS again with an A330.

    Great video BTW!

  • Next time you fly and all you can see are clouds, look out the window while wearing sunglasses. You can really see the detail on the clouds, and it looks awesome!

  • i love every boeing nd airbus

  • I wish my wondow was that clear! I just flew from MSP-ORD Via dc-9-51 the back in a comair cr-700 I couldn't see a thing out the window.

  • I love flying on these little jets

  • Love the crj, so little.

  • @iPhronz, I agree. Small planes. Fun to fly in.

  • thank's it is going to be on delta it a big airplane

  • I watched this video 4 times I liked it so much. It's weird

  • @keisersean, I have others too...Except they are in E170's. They're also fun. A little bigger than the CRJs.

  • @Imachevroletdude did you e-mail them to me

  • @keisersean, If you're talking about the other videos they can be found in my channel. There's no need for me to email them.

  • @Imachevroletdude just watched one. I like one. when I go to JFK On christmas I will be on a Boing 767 and I'll video tape me takeingoff as part 1 and landing as part 2

  • @keisersean, good to hear. Good luck, and enjoy your flight!

  • I like this vidoe. I also love crj's because of the power they have in them anyway..... NICE VIDEO!!!!

  • @keisersean, Glad you enjoyed the video, and glad you're a fellow CRJ fan!

  • @Imachevroletdude how high does it altitude

  • @keisersean, Not sure. They'll cruise anywere between 24,000 and 30,000 feet.

  • i have to say out of all the videos on you tube of plane takeoffs and landings this is the best one that iv experienced. well done! :]

  • @ShelbyGT500TT, Thank you very much! I appreciate it!

  • @Imachevroletdude also i was on a crj 900 may of this year going from kci to salt lake city and they are just awsome.! i love them!

  • @ShelbyGT500TT, I agree. Although they are tiny compared to other jets, they are nimble, fast, and so so sleek. They are by far one of my favorite jets to fly on.

  • @ShelbyGT500TT ya me too im 14 right now and i was on one and yes they are tiny but theres something about them that i like! its wierd.

  • @ShelbyGT500TT I an 14 as well

  • Video was nicely put together! Clean and simple!

  • @NYPDForce, Thank you! That's exactly what I was going for when I did the edit.

  • Nice video ! Thanks for sharing

  • @rhatcher5,

    Thank you!

  • The observation area at ORF is an outstanding place for planespotting. You can see

    the RJ's ,737's,MD-80's , E 135's , and the occasionally a DC9-50, and I haven't seen a DC9-30 since 6/23/10 . The cargo's are caravans, a 757, 727, and every now and then an Antonov 124.

  • @Dc9fan, I have spent many hours at the observation area at ORF. Check out my channel to see a couple videos I've shot there. It is a great place to be close to the jets, but the fence is a bit of an obstruction when you're filiming or taking pictures.

  • Very nice video!!!!!

  • @robeconrad, Thank you!

  • @robeconrad, Thank you!

  • Jets are simply CRAZY POWERFUL.

  • @POTATOESLOL, That's what makes them SO AMAZING! :-D

  • Nice! I like your camera angle!

  • @freddurst222, Thank you!

  • i have to fly on this same type of plane from O'Hare to Utah, which is about a 3 and a half hour flight, not saying that this is a bad aircraft i just wish we were flying in a bigger airplane for that distance

  • Cool video...how long was the flight? n do u remember which seat u were in

  • @jcml4lfe, Thanks for the comment! The flight was about an hour, and I sat in seat 8B.

  • Most people do not know that Bombardier (canadair) from Montreal Canada is the world's third largest aircraft manufacturer right after Boeing and Airbus

  • love this..keep it up!

  • @hawkboy000, Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Great sounds! What type of camera did you use?

  • @EEVEE123456789, I used a Samsing MX-20, and then edited the video using iMovie 2009. I have since updgraded and have a few HD vids flying in the Embraer E-Series. Be sure to check them out!

  • One of the best videos i've seen

  • @DVA5656, Thank you so much for the comment! I appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed the video.

  • ill be flying this flight

  • aww to bad you didn't film the push-back engine start-up, it would sound soo cool

  • @foxtrot089, I was actually trying to avoid the flight attendants, so they wouldn't tell me to stop filming. I think in a few other videos, you can hear the engine start up on an Embraer.

  • Im flying from memphis to washington dc thursday. Will i fly on one of these or a big jet?

  • @backintack, most likely, you'll be flying in a regional jet. I can't say that you'll be in a CRJ. It really depends on who you are flying with, and where you connect.

  • Most people don't know that Bombardier which is a canadian airline manufacturer of the CRJ series is the 3rd largest aircraft manufacturer in the world and has been so for decades.

  • Sat in one from ljubljana to zurich - it was not very compfortable, very loud (we sat in the 18th row) and strong shakes the whole flight, thought we would crash down every moment lol. I liked the CRJ 200 more than this one.

  • I think each aircraft has it's own unique sound. CRJ's are by far my favorite.

  • @Imachevroletdude of course each aircraft has its own sound :D. If you want a new favorite, listen to a saab 340!!

  • @runway34r, Im not much for turboprops. I prefer the sound of a jet engine!

  • @runway34r, Correction...I know turboprops are ALSO jet engines....but I prefer the turbofan....

  • just love that engine sound.

  • i flew a crj-900 from birmingham to charlotte and i thought it was a pretty cramped cabin. then when we landed i stood up and hit my head on the overhead compartments...kinda embarassing

  • I flew on a CRJ-900 to Albany from Charlotte and they are quite nice. They are spacious so you don't feel like you are crowded with a lot of people. Even aboard the smaller CRJ-200 it is a pleasant flight. Overhead storage is not the best though so you may be checking your roll aboard plane side.

  • Wow what a misaligned window

  • Which Runway did you enter at this landing in ATL?

  • I may not be completely correct in this, but if you look close enough around 5:59, you can see the letters 27L-9R as it turns right towards the concourses. Im guessing that means the jet probably landed on runway 27L.

  • It was 27L

  • Md-88's are screaming loud in the back!Love the crj's

  • Aren't the crj's really cramped?

  • They are considerably smaller than say, the ERJ 170 series, but are light, nimble, and fast. An average person can sit in one comfortably with plenty of space. Plus, they are regional aircraft, which means you won't be flying on it too long.

  • flew on one yesterday out of Atl down to Freeport in The Bahamas..nice flight !

  • Man I sat in the back of one of these things. FRIKKEN LOUD! xD

  • I like a window seat, usually right on the wing. Not sure how loud it was for you, but I've heard the MD-88's are even louder.

  • It was unbearable when we were ascending. I dont think it was so much the engines, but it seemed like something was vibrating so loud my eyes were shaking. Terrible- but eventually everything was realatively smooth.

  • I know what you mean. I once flew on a DHC Dash 8 (Turboprop). Now THAT was loud!

  • Dash 8's sounds like a box fan on a setting higher than high... but there's two of them and the plane vibrates so badly.

  • I've been on a Dash 8 just once. During the ascension, it was loud, but once we hit crusing altitude, it was fine. Im still a bigger fan of the CRJ though.

  • CRJ's are preety quite, infact their the only plane i can accually take a nap on. (As long as your sitting next to the wings or near the front)

  • They are pretty loud.

  • yeah the md88's are torture-when we got off the gate after arrival my friend was talking to me and i couldnt hear her cuz my ears were used to the noise-and the airport was nearly empty

  • and these things can haul ass too.

  • I love the video. I live in Suffolk and fly out of Norfolk alot.

  • Great Vid man I love the way you captured it all through the window and held it steady.I've flown in and out of Norfork for about 20 yrs. never in a crj mainly md-88's, 727,737's and 757 one time visiting relatives that also live in Chesapeake Great Bridge Area.

  • Thanks for the comment! Most of my flights have been on CRJs and Embraers. CRJs are smaller planes, but they're pretty fast and nimble, you should try one over the MD-88.

  • i live in chesapeake about 15 minutes from this airport...i actually start flying in about 2 months now and can't wait!
