I don't think this is more of a 'tune' issue, more of an 'articulation' issue. Spend more time 'long tone' exercise and less time on mastering songs.

If I were you, I would spend my practice time on 70: long tone, 20: vibrato, 10: songs.

I think you did a pretty good job. The saxophone playing was better than the a ccordion but still good. Do you have the sheet music or notes for this on sax?
