Very nice groove and killer tone, man! Keep up the good work! What audio/video setup do you use for recording? I'd like to be able to get high quality videos to upload myself on the bass, but I've been using a regular point & shoot camera with its internal microphone...
@wxb200 Hi, I use a Logitech 9000 camera and I'm recording into an imac through a Korg Pandora PX5D. I then take the video and edit it in iMovie. Thanks for the comment!
@RriverJJ Muchas Gracias. I'm using headphones because I'm recording direct into my mac through the Pandora PX5D processor. So the sound isn't amplified.
@shellslug1 they're just standard 45-105. The neck on this bass is really quite narrow though, might create the effect of the strings looking chunkier
@tattooheath Hi, have you played another instrument before? Or are you totally new to playing music? Either way, a great way to start is with some blues as it's the foundations of playing bass. Jon Liebman's books are really accessible and are mostly grooves, which is a fun way to start.
@Nostradamus81 yo, that's not the most easily understandable of your comments! I've been listening to and learning a lot of Jaco stuff lately. Opus Pocus has so much in it, from the tricky fingering of the opening run to a couple of great groove sections. You can learn loads from it. Cheers
very creative Casimer! this is ur 3rd vid i fave.... your just too awesome i gotta keep it somewhere i rememeber! cause i keep learning all ur stuff i hope u dont mind :s.
Very, very cool but it isn't Jaco styled at all.

These videos are great man, is there a place you get the drum loop in the background from?
turkishturkish 1 year ago
@turkishturkish Hi, thanks for the comment. The drum loop is built in to the Pandora PX5D, it's got a few decent drum loops in it.

@ritualistica : What??? I bet his tone is killer when straight from the speakers and not so much through a D.I. connection...
