I had a Moroccan drink with watermelon and strawberries with orange blossom! i wondered how... NOW i know i can just add strawberries to the mix too! thank you so much! you are my new favorite channel I love LOVE Indian food!
What do you think of the magic bullet, and would you recommend it? be honest please Ive wanted one for awhile but I get mixed reviews. Also is it go for other then smoothies, and how well does it actually blend. Is it really powerful?
I love your show! I love the fact you put nuts in a lot of things, especially almonds, is that very tradional moraccan?
Thank you! yes you are right, in Morocco, we use a lot of almond, especially in the cookies - almonds and honey. As of the magic bullet, I will only recommend it if you have another big mixer/grinder/robot coupe. I only find the M.B. useful when I am making smoothies and I want something quick that I can serve in the same cup; but it's not really good to grind nuts, and other stuff as they claim. But for singer serving drinks, it's perfect! hope this helps!
hi alia those are wonderful juices ...really so perfect ...i will try them and let you know today im gonna try the watermelon one but im afraid i don't have blossom can i replace it with vanilla flavour or anything else? wish you answer me soon before i try it
glad you liked them! for the watermelon juice, dont add anything (if you dont have orange blossom water or rose water), it's wonderful as it is. cheers :-)
Oh ihave mint growing too lol it kind of takes over the garden doesnt it? Can you make those mint drinks? Thanks! Oh and great triming for the watermelon drink cause I just got one the other day...thanks!
oooooooo I got a great recipe! it's called Lemonana. use lemonade (or lemon juice), add some water, fresh mint, sugar, and lots of ice. Mix it all. It has to be icy like that 'italian ice' and then you can drink it with a straw. yum yum.
Hi Alia, how about Moroccan yogurt (RAYB) with some avocado smoothie (PANASHI) on top MA7laba Style :) isn't that refreshing? Try to make a video about that.. Thanks
So thanks again and keep those delicious recipes coming! I really enjoy trying them (and my friends enjoy the eating part..!!! ;) Ciao e grazie mille!!!
By the way, I made your couscous yesterday. It was such a hit!!! I had two moroccan friends for dinner and they said it tasted almost like the one their mothers would make! They asked me wheather I used a certain type of butter...I forgot the name of it.... they said it's something like old butter, which gives the couscous-sauce a unique flavor. I honestly didn't know what they were talking about. Do you?
I am so glad you enjoyed the couscous! it's my favorite dish. the butter your friends are talking about is clarified butter that we call in morocco smen, indian cuisine has a similar type that they call ghee and you can find it here in the US (in indian stores or at wholefoods). hope this helps :-)
I don't live in the US though.... . I'm an italian girl (the 48 doesn't refer to my age.... :) who lives in Germany! I'll have to try the indian stores here then. :)
Oh, in case I find it: when would I put it in the sauce? Grazie!! :)
oh I do! I love quinces! but I can not find them here. We make a tajine of lamb with them in morocco, and also a quinces paste. sorry, can not find them in the US :-(
