  • EVERYONE THERE WILL BE A METEOR SHOWER AT MIDNIGHT TOMORROW-AUGUST 12/13

  • location?

  • look 0:18sek

  • Wish this footage would be in about half the speed it is...but it's still awesome footage

  • nice footage

  • wow........

  • guys isnt this why space is fucking awsome

  • 0:18 ?? :/

  • Nice upload!

  • if we could only at LEAST see so many stars here... ):

  • wonderful sky

  • That Was Beautiful!

  • loved it!!!!!!!

  • gay

  • what was that flash 17:00

  • what the fuck was that flash at 16:00

  • Wow with a sped up video you can really see how the earth is literally floating through space, when its in realtime it just looks still. Amazing.

  • Wish i lived out in the country....... :(

  • You have such a beautiful view of the night sky, I wish my parents didn't choose to live in the city. There's a lot you miss out on every night.

  • great time lapse video 5 *****

    bernie

  • Better make a wish!!!

  • The meteor at 0:18 leaves a streak of dust that stays and drifts to the left... pretty cool. Unless it was just a cloud forming at the exact same time.

  • Fantastically!!!!!

  • Theres is way to many suns out there...

  • I MISSED IT!!! I DIDNT EVEN KNO!!! COME ON!!!!

  • @SuperVampireGal actully you just missed the peak, but it continues untill the 22nd, just dont expect to see alot

  • it looks like it was simulated and that your video was fake. I don't know really, I have never seen the real thing so i can't tell for myself for sure.....

  • The best video about time lapse sky night.

  • nice!

  • i thought the meteor had hit something in 0:18 and then the smoke came from the collision

  • Meteor Shower in day?

  • nice job

  • So how did you film this and make the sky look so...beautiful

  • This year it's new moon during the peak days, and man I was lucky - I looked up to the sky just 5 minutes ago and saw a huge meteor falling down for like 4 seconds, ending with an explosion. Amazing, but tomorrow it will be cloudy.

  • @Houston4444 Sorry to hear that! its absolutely clear in Michigan

  • fast mofo's

  • will it show in new zealand?

  • wow amazing!

  • never see a real meteor:( citychild.

  • @MulanXP this week bif shower will agust 12-13 google when is meteor rain you will see

  • its nice cause at this time their's going to be a new moon, dunno if its right name for no moon

  • The peek times to see this years Perseids meteor shower are August 12th - 13th.

  • incredible!! great work - looks awesome - cant wait for the chance to see things like this for real again!!!

  • i saw this right away

    it was really cool

  • how much memory space does ur camera accomodate?

  • It's hard for me to see because the trees obscure it while it's rising, but I think that's Libra rising as the sun washes everything out - otherwise there are so many stars that I don't recognize the constellations!

  • I would suggest to spend more time on the actual meteors. Here it's just going too fast.

  • ofcourse sky is moving!!!

  • are we moving or is the shy movin im confused looks fake

  • It's time lapse, so the movement of stars are clearly visible.

  • what was the explosion at 0:18?

  • @jura2931 thats not an explosion, its the sun rising in timelapse :)

  • TUNGUSKA EVENT!!

no its just the sunrise coming through the trees....this timelapse is a speedy one which is why the orange light of sunrise is only there for a split second

  • The meteors are more or less hard to catch when the video is speed up to that point.

  • whoa this is great, especially seeing the stars fade back as the sun comes up.

  • hace unos años lei en una revista sobre dos lluvias de meteoritos en fechas distintas y lo comprobe vi 5 estrellas fugaces en poco tiempo pero se me olvido la fecha ¿si alguien lo sabe me lo podria decir por favor gracias

  • @geovanyta nadie se habla espanol aqui pues try and speak englidh more ppl know that than spanish

  • i cant understand u!!!!!

  • fucking awesome!

  • i saw 16 meteors give or take

  • gosh that is sooooooooooooooooocool!

    lol

  • how long did you record for?

  • beautiful...absolutely amazing!! :)

  • True

  • Why hasnt anyone pointed out the meteor that comes within a 20 foot range about half way through 0:18

  • ik right?? i noticed that too!

  • Psh jus makes me drool on the chances of this once a year meteor shower that hits anywhere on earth happens to land there near a camera and might not have been taken the chance to be further investigated ;[

  • absolutly beautiful! what did you use to record this time lapse?

  • i didnt even see it. >.>

  • I would've loved to see em' but I found out too late, and I live In New York D:

  • after 1 tonight youll see them just have patience :).

  • it is again tonight at midnight

  • Me and the wife returned home and went in the back garden, I laid back in a reclining chair and told her to lay on my and we both watched the sky wrapped in a blanket, saw maybe 15 really good trails and one really large fireball which travelled from North to South over our house and was still burning when it left our view over england, that was truly the best thing I have seen ever, looked just like from a science fiction film.

  • Just got home - couldn't resist nipping out for a bit to see if I could see anything. Live reasonably close to the countryside and seen the first one within 5mins of driving - stopped the car, blanket on the ground and just stared at the sky for ages - seen at least 10 between 12:15am and 12:45am. Pamela (Central Scotland) - hint - if you're looking up now, find the big dipper and look up and right of it - your eyes will cover a large area and when you see one you'll know where to see the rest!

  • hey im in newcastle upon tyne what time wud u see it tonight, please comment back anypne :D peace

  • thats soo cool with the time lapse...

i only saw like 5 or 6 cause the moon made the sky too bright, but it was still pretty sweet.

    -Houston, TX

  • there is another one tonight

  • What area?

  • it wasnt that great here in minnesota, it sucked

  • you need to get as far away from city lights and pollution as you can. It makes a big difference in visibility.

  • you dont understand, i live in the country, no where near to city lights, i saw like 15 of them last night and i was out there for a very long time., no clouds, no "pollution" we dont have pollution in the air here????? lolllll

  • In denmark it is soooooooooo cloudy s:

    to much lights..

hopefully i can see it today :D

    ~CA

  • same here -san diego

  • Did anyone else see the two large ones last night. I live around houston texas and these suckers were big and were side by side and streaked across the sky!

  • I saw at least 40 meteors last night. I hope it is clearer tonight so I can see more.

  • If I had known about it earlier (not yesterday...) I would've went to a more open area instead of looking through my bedroom window... but I did manage to see 2 really bright ones and like 7-10 dimmer ones (like really dim one). =) overall, I'm pretty satisfied, but I really was wishing to see a SHOWER. Oh well, I'll just wait for the Orionids to come in October and hope hope hope I'll see more.

    <3 Kasa

  • There was ment to me some tonight but we obly saw 1 , thats really cool how you can see all those stars , In our city we can only see a few bright ones :/

    cool vid

  • this cool im watchin it from the uk its awsome :)

  • wow that video is crazy shit man it makes you notice like the turn of the earth in space dude thats rass

  • how long was each exposure per frame please? many thanks.

  • about 15 seconds

  • Thanks :D

  • thats beautiful video mate.. back in 2007 during this one, me and my dad where in the middle of a field. and saw this massive one together. real good moment we will remember it for ever thanks for the video

  • beautiful! where was this taken?

  • Very nice! :-)

  • lol u are aware the earth rotate's, right?lol

    think, kid, THINK!

  • ahhh is there any showers in australia i have only seen one meteor thats its

  • you need to go far away form the city, like to the mountains or some plains, preferably plains, no trees or mountains to obscure your view, take a mattress or a blanket and lie down, then watch and wait.

  • so wierd

  • too fast u cant see them

  • do you think meteors go in slow motion?

  • nice vid, i saw my 3rd or so meteor last night. I will do some observation when we pass the Leonides in november, hopefully i get to see a few more :) 5/5 btw

  • when is next shower???

  • wow

  • im currently observing seen only one meteor im also observing trough my telescope to see fainter ones not much luck though

  • Observing through a telescope cuts your field of view down drastically - it's no wonder you haven't seen many. Meteors aren't distant enough to require the use of a telescope. You'd be better off just watching the whole sky instead of a very small portion of it.

  • thats gonna happen right know ppl August 12 2008 !!! tuesday at 7:00

  • really cool video.

  • Damn our weather, it's not cooperating tonight, so I can't see it. That sucks. But will it happen this time next year?

  • clear skies in ohio :P... i only seen 2 so far.

  • you can see the meteors before and after todays date, todays date is only the BEST night to see it. the meteors will slowly taper off after the next day or two.

  • you can observe it next year but there's going to be a quarter moon next year for the perseids so its going to block out most of them from the moonlight..sorry!

I saw about 20 last night in Pennsylvania! :)

  • cool, thx for sharing

  • Pretty cool. I remember one year there was more than that visible, but that was before my neighborhood was developed. I still see satellites like crazy though.

  • what was that fire it looks like one meteor was fall on earth:)!!

  • headlights of my truck, i drove to another camera

  • that was great! thanks for sharing.

  • Awesome job dude! I did astrophotographie b4 & I know how awesome is 2 wait in d cold & take pictures. It's amazing.

Just tell me, how did u caught d meteors movement by ur camera, cuz normaly if u take a shot of 10 sec exposure u caught d whole line not d motion!

and wut was d interval between each picture?

    keep it up man. 10/10

  • you are probably seeing some satellites, the meteors are only in one frame.

the exposure is about 10 seconds (sometimes more sometimes less..) and the photos are taken continously so there are no gaps or times when i am not taking a picture.

  • What kind of camera did you use so I can get one like yours?

  • canon 1d mark3, and a 24mm 1.4 lens, and the canon tc-80N3 remote

  • Excelent work. can i ask what equipment did you use? and the night photos exposition?

  • canon 1d mark3, and a 24mm 1.4 lens, and the canon tc-80N3 remote

  • *envy*...

  • omgggg that's soooo pretty it gives me chills i love how u can tell the earth is moving :O

  • wooww thats so cool... they're pretty [:

  • SHIT I am an argentinian and I thing this i
