@JPa311979 not too familiar with that, but im sure it could. In regards to that thunderbolt in Cincy you requested, i was told the rotator may be busted since its been in the same position for 3 years, and with the entire system failing this month, idk if i'll go back this month.
@GarrardAT6 Thunderbolt 1000's were around since 1952. The building this one is on looks like it was built in the 1970's to me but the siren could have been moved from another spot rebuilt then installed were it is now. The freeways in this area first became popular in the late 60's and 70's. A lot of old buildings were torn down at that time and I'll bet this siren was on a building for the first years of it's life that was taken for the freeway system.
@GarrardAT6 I don't think this siren has been serviced in many years and I heard that the cities are planning to replace them with a more modern system soon.

@amtrak3501 Maybe it had some motor work done to it in the past. Could the chopper be unbolted from the motor on these?

My fascination with these sirens grows every video you make!
How old is this one likely to be? Do they get serviced? What happens when they die...Do they get replaced?
I could go on forever with questions...haha!!!

So that Thunderbolt could be over 60 years old and nobody has cared for it in a long while!
It must just sit up there in all weathers year in and year out!
One thing is for sure...Any thing they replace it with won't stand the test of time like these mighty sirens...Or look as impressive!
When they go you'll have to get one and give it some TLC!
It would look great on the top of your house...haha!!! :)
