I went to Wales once. There is nothing but a mountain and some sheep. The people are all short, dark-haired and dark-eyed. They talk of nothing but rugby and think they are special. They sing constantly and think Max Boyce is funny. No-one speaks English and they sneer if you can't speak Welsh. It rains non-stop and is freezing cold. They claim to have invented Guinness and say that St Patrick was Welsh. I am never going back.
after this game ( 0-52 for france) and tournament , i was thinking welsh, irish and scottish rugby team was dead, also the 5nations... hopefully i was wrong.
@cantor0305 And it's all better for the game, it would have been sad to lose those 3 nations, they've offered us so many great games in the past, and today as well. Pity the Welsh lost to the French (even though i'm French), their team was brilliant, loved watching them, and the irish beating the Aussies, that was great :)
@DiscoFrisc0 The welsh were clearly better than the french in the semi-final. But what could have they done vs the ABs? I think nothing. The final would have been an unbalanced and boring 35-7. At least French shows they had the skills to beat NZ at home, despite 60.000 people and a referee quite...permissive i would say.
@denjam Well you never know, the ref was nice to us in 2007, this time he was nice to NZ... better luck next time, at least the game was great in intensity.
Anyways the Welsh clearly have a great team and i can't wait to see the 6 Nations tournament. Even the Italians are showing more skills, just wished the Scotts could find themselves a new breed of players like the Hastings brothers.

The next 6NT will be good, very good, considering that both England and Wales expect revenge over France (2 big games for sure). Scotland disapperad in the beginning of the 90's. I also hope they will be more competitive within a few years. (Damn. Your english is better than mine! You can't even imagine how i suffer to write these lines.)
Garin Jenkins was an animal. I loved his try against Spain in 1994, where he had a Spanish player dragging along the floor holding his jersey and a Spanish player under each arm while running to the try line. Was a hilarious try!
@M374EVL yeah i'm trying to find the one when he knocked out Joost van der Westhuizen in 1997, it used to kick off a LOT more in 90's rugby, its very difficult to find any proper footage of these incidents though
