Really though, I can pull them off if I get lucky, but it's never consistent or reliable. The aerial combo into triumphant grasp seems to be the hardest especially the brave attack right before the hp one. I wouldn't want time similar to what you get to chase or attack after a chase, but I want a little more than what seems like 1/20th of a second :\

@elk832 IMO it's the easiest combo of Jetch. Just keep practicing and you'll master all of his combos. It took me about an hour to master all of his combos. I think the hardest combo is Ultimate Jetch Shot, but now i can do it easily.

every time i'll be at the HP attack part of each combo, he finishes the combo instead of doing the HP attack even when i press the buttons

the meteor combo for example. He throws the sword up i press Up+square (my setting for ultimate jecht shot) but he finishes the combo and says "Go Fly!" I know he was using the jap version but i did the jecht rush into jecht blade one time, so i knwo it's possible in the english one. What am i doing wrong?

this video was both hilarious and infinitely helpful! I knew Jecht had to have some kind of connection to his hp attacks, even if he didnt have a specific ability for it. I remember when when my first (best character so far) was Tidus, and I would go up against Jecht max everything...... literally 10-20 seconds I was on my knees..... it was ridiculous, but now I finally understand how he raped me so! lol why did they make jecht so complicated? these are great combos but if you rely on one for a kill and something throws you off (like a BREAK that messes up your timing) then you might end up losing b/c of it.

Try doing what I did. Instead of trying to time it by what you see, try timing it by what you hear. The timing has a certain rhythm to it that never changes. After I started listening to it, it became a lot easier and I started nailing it practically everytime not too much longer.

in the NA version aerial combo press SQUARE right after he says, "The Sword!" :D hope this helped, and the ground combo u have to press circle at a different rate than the air combo. on the second BRV combo part, use UP+CIRCLE and you'll get the sword to go up and when he syas, " OH hell ya!" press SQUARE. hope this helped too :)

i figured out how the timing works please add this on your description

Circle (If you press this fast and many times, you will see that he does 3 hits. When your doing the combo, you only need 2 hits). The exact same time that he is about to do the 3rd hit animation (including the preparation of the 3rd hit) you need to press circle. When you press circle again (if you don't do anything after pressing circle again, you will see that he will end with a kick).

My god, Jecht is a pain in the ass to use, I got everything down except chaining it to his HP attack, for some reason I can't pull it off.

Besides, if it's Jecht against Exdeath(human), then you're kind of screwed, well guess it's a good thing I trained with Exy first to learn when to block against attacks, so I can use Jecht's pimp smack move to good use.

Rule of thumb with Jecht: The first stage results in low knock back .The second stage of the combo leads to a Chase hit. The third stage results in far knock back with optional HP attack.

You're probably a bit off with your timing, try a bit faster, or slower, and remember to input the right directions. Even the HP Attack input requires precise timing. I should know, considering it took me almost two hours to master the Meteor combo(my personal favorite)

I've spent the last 2 days trying to master Jecht's combos, seriously, it takes a lot of practice, once you learn one of his moves, and get the hang of it, the others will become a lot easier for you, seriously, start with the combo that links into Ultimate Jecht Shot, that's the easiest one for me, IMO, you just gotta get into Jecht's rhythm, then you'll just be like, 'This shit is so easy!', and it really feels good when you do one of his combos. Jecht is my favorite character after Squall.

Although the attacks really don't have names, you are just hooking togethor different variaton's of jecht's normal ability (Jecht Stream I believe). jecht only has 4 brave attacks, his ground combo, air combo, and ground/midair blocks. his combos change depending on the timing of your button presses, a lot like cloud of darkness' brave attacks

BTW guys, secret to using Jecht is NO BUTTONMASHING and pay attention to his moves on screen O_o. If you put on the right gear and equipment, and summoning, it's possible you can take out the opponent in one perfect combo ^_^.
