Kimimaro is one of the most inspiring characters from Naruto i have ever known of. Its really sad that he had to die. He fought to the death even in sickness. =[ So crying right now.

@7thNCtrooper2 I am an Orochimaru fan, but I don't think Kimimaro was really focused on how well he did in battle. Kimimaro was locked in a cage most of his childhood, and he wasn't violent like the rest of the Kaguya...Instead, he wanted someone to love him (like Gaara & Haku) and the only person who gave him that was Orochimaru. For Gaara it was his uncle; for Haku Zabuza. Because he was the only person who liked him, his entire goal in life was to protect Orochimaru (like haku-zabu & gaa-yas)
@RamonaAStone1947 and kimimaro was there for Jugo when he needed him the most. for Jugo, Kimimaro. in this, it sorta goes in a cycle. Hiruzen for orochimaru, then orochimaru for kimimaro, then kimimaro for jugo

It is sad that he chose to commit his life to worthless trash like Orochimaru. It is even worse when people think all they are worth is how good they are in battle, I think that is what he thought, that he was worthless unless fighting for something. He chose his path though, and there is no excuse for his actions.

@NonLiving102 Sorry, but you are also incorrect. In manga chapters 215, 216, and 217, Gaara has a intense battle with Kimimaro. In these chapters Gaara inflicts a lot of damage on Kimimaro, leading him towards his death. Honestly, Naruto was only there for a few seconds to confront Kimimaro, then Lee came into save him, and Gaara came into finish the job. Also, when Naruto did battle Kimimaro for that short time, he never once used his "Rasengan", he only used his shadow clone jutsu. :-|.

Kimmimaro wasn't being kept alive by a chakra candle, the candle was just used 2 gauge how much longer he had, his body was weakened by illness and if ut had not been for that fact then Lee and Gaara would be dead, Gaaras sand couldn't have stopped it the only thing that stopped his attack was death, read the manga and watch the anime again -___-
@WasiqqIsNinja gaara would kill him anyway....the last attack by kimmimaro would have been blocked by gaara's sand shield and rock lee would mabye finaly do something....

@bennettalston Not really. Kimimaro was able to go toe to toe with Gaara and would have won if it weren't for the disease, Gaara himself admitted he was almost out of chakra and would have died had the attack gone through.
@kimimarorein yes the disease was killing him but he was only able to be in his prime mode because he set his life on a limit. Gaara was only using his own chakra and not using Shukaku's chakra. Kimimaro would have died if he hadn't have used his cursemark stages. So to be practical Gaara vs Kimimaro with no Shukaku or Cursemark chakra, Gaara wins in the end. That, and the fact Gaara kept on protecting Rock Lee was a disadvantage. kinda like protecting his village from deidara.
@bennettalston During his battle Kabuto and Orochimaru implied that he wasn't as strong as he used to be, there isn't any evidence showing that he himself set his life on a limit and grew stronger from it. I agree that Kimimaro would have been killed had he not had access to the curse seal, However, protecting Lee did not put Gaara at a disadvantage because he never had to put himself in harm's way to protect Lee, he was able to keep Kimimaro occupied the whole time.
@bennettalston In addition, I don't see how Shukaku's chakra would have given Gaara that much of an advantage, Kimimaro's shown resistance to the pressure of lots of Gaara's sand, being able to break out of his sand waterfall and break through the subsequent attacks. The sand that was used to block his 4th dance and drag Kimimaro down for the final time was a different type of sand, we don't whether Gaara would have been able to shield himself with that sand in time even if he had more chakra.
@kimimarorein Gaara using the Shukaku form would completely destroyed Kimimaro. Honestly, Kimimaro was only enabled to survive Sand Tsunami because of his complete cursemark form. Without it Kimimaro would have died. Gaara on the other hand was trying to fight without the need of Shukaku. Kimimaro even lost his mind due to the fact Gaara was beating him with the burden of failing Orochimaru. The very last attack Kimimaro performed was an attack Gaara could counter with Shukaku

Kimmimaro had heart, but he was just in wrong side and though wrong things, but said pretty much from hearth, he was used...controlled by wrong people, he was a good person after all.

Kimmimaro was a great villain, and I only wish he had gotten more screen time and character development before he died. I mean c'mon, the guy nearly killed Lee, Gaara, and Naruto, and the only reason he didnt was because his illness killed him before he could.

@bennettalston Not really. Kimimaro was able to go toe to toe with Gaara and would have won if it weren't for the disease, Gaara himself admitted he was almost out of chakra and would have died had the attack gone through.

@kimimarorein yes the disease was killing him but he was only able to be in his prime mode because he set his life on a limit. Gaara was only using his own chakra and not using Shukaku's chakra. Kimimaro would have died if he hadn't have used his cursemark stages. So to be practical Gaara vs Kimimaro with no Shukaku or Cursemark chakra, Gaara wins in the end. That, and the fact Gaara kept on protecting Rock Lee was a disadvantage. kinda like protecting his village from deidara.

@bennettalston That candle wasn't even a chakra candle. It just coincidentally went out when Kimimaro died. He didn't set his life on a limit.

@bennettalston During his battle Kabuto and Orochimaru implied that he wasn't as strong as he used to be, there isn't any evidence showing that he himself set his life on a limit and grew stronger from it. I agree that Kimimaro would have been killed had he not had access to the curse seal, However, protecting Lee did not put Gaara at a disadvantage because he never had to put himself in harm's way to protect Lee, he was able to keep Kimimaro occupied the whole time.

@bennettalston In addition, I don't see how Shukaku's chakra would have given Gaara that much of an advantage, Kimimaro's shown resistance to the pressure of lots of Gaara's sand, being able to break out of his sand waterfall and break through the subsequent attacks. The sand that was used to block his 4th dance and drag Kimimaro down for the final time was a different type of sand, we don't whether Gaara would have been able to shield himself with that sand in time even if he had more chakra.

@kimimarorein Gaara using the Shukaku form would completely destroyed Kimimaro. Honestly, Kimimaro was only enabled to survive Sand Tsunami because of his complete cursemark form. Without it Kimimaro would have died. Gaara on the other hand was trying to fight without the need of Shukaku. Kimimaro even lost his mind due to the fact Gaara was beating him with the burden of failing Orochimaru. The very last attack Kimimaro performed was an attack Gaara could counter with Shukaku

@bennettalston I thin you are wrong in the place when you said "Kimimaro was only enabled to survive Sand Tsunami because of his complete cursemark form" well...it wasn't like that, his Kekkei Genkai was very powerful, he can make bone shield or bone human type body under skin which protects him, and he controlled body only by his mind, he said like that, and he was like...already dead before, after the pressure his skin was most parts gone, only bone shield was under and proteted

@888Kakashi He was brainwashed...but like Gaara said...(not brainwash thing :D) when you are attached to someone like never before and he admired you, and you love that person because of that, because you never had anything like that before. Kimmimaro had heart, but he was just in wrong side and though wrong things, but said pretty much from hearth, he was used...controlled by wrong people, he was a good person after all.
