@peglegpogostick Sadly, I learned yesterday that the Tortilla Factory is closing because of tax problems. I've eaten and played guitar there several times, and the food was good. The atmosphere was excellent for performers, as it was always respectful. I guess I won't play there again. :-(
@wirefly That's terrible! I used to eat there as a kid when my dad worked out of Reston. Any idea when they're closing? Might have to see the place while I still have the chance. Thanks for the news though. I'll let the folks know.
@peglegpogostick I think the Tortilla Factory is closing at the end of this month (Feb. 2012). If you Google "tortilla factory herndon closing" you will find more information.
@homeboy9948 The Nokia Lumia 710 has a good on-screen keyboard that's easy to use despite the smaller display size. Some Android phones let you choose between a couple different keyboards, and I find some better than others. All things considered, the Nokia 710's keyboard is quite good.
hi guys ,,i am stuck with a problem now ...when i connect to windows market place with wifi ,,it aint downloading ,,it shows windows cant connect to marketplace now ,but it works cellular data ........plz help......!!!!!!!!!!
@CRYP2ON8 the windows phone keyboard is great in general, many reviewers praise windows phone for the keyboard. You don't have the option to download different keyboards like you can on Android, but the keyboard is good enough to where you won't miss that. I find it to be better than my iPod touches keyboard but i think ipods have lousy digitizers on them compared to iphones.
@DaarkRedeemer Yeah, I'd say that Windows Phone 7 is more stable than Android. I'm not saying that Android is wildly unstable, but the fact that different manufacturers each have their own "skin" over Android seems to introduce a little instability. WP7 doesn't have those skins and it always seems smooth.
@MrKittxatans If you get a phone from Wirefly, you have 14 days to return it if there's a problem. Other vendors may have similar policies, but I cant speak for them. You should be able to give the camera a good workout in 14 days.
@IPgreatness The Nokia Lumia 710 didn't come loaded with Swype or other trace typing app, but you may be able to get one from the Windows app store. I don't know if such an app is available, but it would be excellent if there was such an app.
@MrChavez1435 It's best if you check the current price on Wirefly. Anything I say here will be obsolete in a couple of weeks, and then it will confuse people. So it's best to check when you want to know.
@cooldudeandlazyboy I tried that. The Lumia 710 put a little box around where I touched and it looked reasonably clear in the display, but you see what I got. I think the camera in the unit I have must be defective.
@SPINO852 What do you expect me to say? If you don't want a better device to come along after you buy something, then you better not buy anything. Something better *always* comes along. That's how the world turns.
Hello bob ...so you still don't know anything about a new HTC phone for Sprint cause my plan is going to end and planning to get a new phone but my only option is the HTC EVO 3D right and the EVO design or should I switch to verizon wireless ?
@SPINO852 Honest, we get presentations and have meetings all the time about upcoming phones. However, they are confidential and I can't discuss specifics. Let me get back in the office on Monday, check the documents and see if I can drop a hint.
@SPINO852 Okay, there is a fantastic high-end HTC phone planned for Sprint, but the date is May 2012. If you can imagine every high-end feature available today, this HTC phone will have it. But again... May 2012, and that is subject to change.
@cflores860 There's a formal definition of 4G and there is an "advertising" definition of 4G. If the network is capable of delivering more than 5Mbps or so, most casual users will call that 4G.
The fact is that getting 5Mbps on a cell phone is an excellent connection that will let you quickly do just about anything you want to do. This phone can get such a connection.
@cflores860 You say that, but the data shows otherwise. The longer the video, the lower YouTube's "retention" numbers are. In other words, people bail out from longer reviews.
Just one of the bits of data I juggle when creating reviews.
@TheMerpChannel The Nokia 710 is probably easier to use and I like the browsing experience better. But an Android phone will always have more games and the display on the myTouch by LG might be just a bit better. The camera in the Nokia has some problems, so I'll go with the myTouch there as well. If it was my choice, I'd get the myTouch by LG.
@wirefly hey bob i have a question. Im getting a new phone and i was thinking of getting the mytouch by LG or the nokia lumia 710 for t-mobile. Can you tell me which one is better for gaming, web browsing, camera feature, and which one you will perfer to get. thanks
