Well, in the presence of eternal life and eternal beings, I should be able to petition great representatives of the spirit, such as Jesus, or even his deciples, or a more current passed on human being, or even a still living human being, to make some affect on my behalf in the name of the great father.
Jesus denoted the father as his source. But if I choose to lay eternal blessing on the messenger, as an equal to the father, being an extension of the father, then I am fair in action.
allmusic85..very good..I like it..but I was told that actually it is never implied in the bible that there is a trinity..the same way rapture is never mentioned..yet it was created and belived by many as is easter, and christmas...these also are created..I try to only follow the Lords words and not traditions..anyone please help me know only the truth for many are misled...Blessed be
Actually halfie25 you have that in reverse. Yeshuah is just the translation of "Salvation" in Hebrew. Yehoshuah is the Hebrew name for Joshua aka the first book of prophets named after the man himself.
Jews don't believe in salvation. Good deeds might help u 2 go Heaven...but ultimately, that decision is God's. God is unchanging means He is eternal. Judaism believes in DUTY, Christianity believes in LOVE, If ur lucky enuf 2 b born a Christian, why convert to (straight-jacket!) Judaism???? Judaism & Hebrew School made me think my parents loved Judaism more than me...& ruined my relation w them! It turns out they loved ME more! But as a kid...you're SCARED! Religion shud be LOVE!
Well, I'll answer your question with one of my own. If your born Jewish why convert to Christianity? What in Christianity says that your parents don't love Jesus more then you? Christians believe all who refuse the religion are doomed to hell. In Judasism, Jews have 613 mitsvot to complete in order to be seen as righteous, and gentiles(non-jews) have 7. Christians see themselves and their religion as picked for salvation. Jews see everyone can be seen as righteous.
Because as the ignorant owner of precious pearls, he does not know their true value, and is thus tempted to trade them for a cheap bauble of little value.
Excuse me, but love is a feeling, and Jews have a duty to love G-d. Anyone who wishes to love G-d can do so with effort, by counting all the things that are done for us daily by the Creator. This duty to love G-d is so important that we repeat this command right after reciting the Sh'ma... and how can we not love the One Who gives us all good.
Actually his birth name would have been "Yahushua". Yeshua is actually translated Joshua. THis was not his name. His name was literally translated YHWH Saves.
About the Almighty changing, the following videos will answer some of your questions (whether or not you'll agree)... and I'll try to get around to making a video in response to that aspect which it doesn't touch on, regarding the verses of Him "Becoming" throughout the Tanakh. Here are the videos:
"GOD CAN MAKE ATHEISM TRUE - Biblical Monotheism"
&
"Where did God come from? - Biblical Monotheism part 1"
About the various verses which state the Almighty became someone's "G-d" or became someone's salvation, etc... this is infinitely different from the Almighty Himself becoming a man, rock, burning bush, pillar of cloud or fire, or whatever else.
NOTHING compares to the Almighty, but to help our understanding, do you not see the difference between 1) a man becoming a father and 2) a man "changing" his sex?
In 1) only the 'RELATIONSHIP' changed. In 2) HE changed.
Change is something only applicable to things subject to time / space, ei: NOT the Creator.
When the Creator becomes someone's salvation, it is not the Creator Himself who actually "became;" what changed is the individual's perception of his own 'relationship' toward the Creator - due to changes on the part of the individual (ei: he repented, he cried out for deliverance, etc...)
The Creator is ALWAYS the source of salvation - always. He "becomes" someone's salvation when the circumstances in this world (in a person, in a family, a city, etc...) change, the change of which subjects them to His UNCHANGING ability to save. (All his "abilities" are one and the same as He Himself - the differences are only in how they are manifested and perceived on the part of created beings - us.)
With the Almighty it is different, He does not become angry, happy, sad, etc... these are all terms describing only how He RELATES to us. Where as with a human being, if the human being becomes angry, etc... this is an internal change of his state of being, not only a change in external expression.
The Almighty relates to creation by means of created expressions of His Will.
It is only the revelation and application of the expression of His Will which changes. The application of any given expression of His Will is dependent upon the changing conditions of man - not upon changes 'within' the Creator, far be it.
Consider the expression of His Will like the sun-rays (& remember, the expression is NOT the Creator):
whether or not the sun burns you doesn't depend on changes in the sun, or in the sun-rays; it depends on changes in the actions of the individual, how long he exposes himself to the light, in what conditions (with sunscreen, with/without clothes, etc..), etc... All the best.
@omedyashar He did become man but not in the strictest sense. For example, your illustration of a sex change would not apply in this situation since God gave up nothing of his divinity to become man.
@omedyashar This is an issue with the Trinity, which is a concept that I believe is supported by the Old Testament. Check out Messianic Judaism and keep tabs on the Messianic Prophecy Bible.
at Sinai Moses saw what the Almighty called "ahhorai" which means back in the sense of something which is behind something else - not the same as the something which it is behind. It is not the term which strictly refers to the biological back of a body. The sages of Israel understood from this that Moses' @ this time had the highest possible realization of the Creator by means of understanding the significance of all creation, the "aftermath" or that which follows the Almighty.
OBVIOUSLY the Creator can create physical representations which speak His Will. This does not mean that the representative is the same as the One who sent the representative. That is a leap. The Almighty spoke to Moses in a 'burning bush' - but did at that moment Moses worship a bush/fire g-o-d? far be it!
and 2) he must desire to surrender to the Almighty's authority. Humility of the heart before its L-RD. The Almighty hates a haughty heart.
This is my personal understanding. Some may disagree.
Now, having 1) and 2) in mind, I believe that given the right conditions, the right information, any such individual will be lead to Torah - with time.
IF the individual who fulfills 1) and 2) comes to realization that the Almighty gave Torah as an everlasting instruction, and that He gave a level of legislative authority to the particular court established under Moses' leadership, then I believe that this same person will be compelled by the spirit of holiness which his heart has been possessed with, and will desire to uphold Torah according to its legislation.
i think i hit remove by accident to the comment before this, but i meant to hit reply. anyway, i had two points to it. 1. there are Christians (like Jehovah's witnesses) who don't believe Jesus is Hashem, also, there are Christian who don't accept the trinity and believe that Jesus is simply one of Hashem's ways in which he has manifested Himself to us.
I'm aware of this. I also this type of Christian the last year of my being such. One must realize that He and His 'ways' (manifestations, revelations, expressions of His Will, etc..) are two distinct things. All of creation is a manifestation of the Creator, on a basic level. But we usually reserve this term for special / unique manifestations which grant an above average realization of His Greatness - while remaining totally distinct from He Himself.
Though realization of the Creator's Absolute incomparable and immutable Singularity is the most fundamental step in serving Him, it's possible to do idolatry even while being aware of His Singularity.
We are not to turn our hearts towards any but He. Even a Christian who knows Jes*us isn't the Creator can still commit idolatry by praying to Jes*us, or similar things.
His splendorous knowledge is shared by none other. He and His Knowledge are no different, only the object of the knowledge.
@omedyashar I cannot understand how the teachings of Jesus conflict with the Torah no matter what quotes by him I have read. To be a Christian, I assume, means to follow Jesus words and teachings/ actions. If this be the case, is it Jesus that has the problem, or a worldly development of a religion, which we have titled Christianity.. which in fact seems to have developed a different definition then its original?
@omedyashar Dear you are going to have to explain all the verses that deal with the trinity! So does water cease to be water because it manifest itself in three different forms:liquid, vapor, or ice? God is powerful to manifest himself in whatever way he wants! Explain why God espeaks in plural form when he refers to himself. Genesis 1 says "let us create' . What was he asking angels to help him create? The Bible is clear that God alone created the earth. Why does he speak in plural then?
@allmusic85 G-d never refers to himself in plural form. He is one, in hebrew this means ''echad''. All language from Genesis is G-d alone speaking and creating. Commandment One ''I am the Lord your G-d who has taken you out from Egypt, from the bonds of slavery'', not ''we'' took you out. There is other like him;" for you cannot know me but my ways. Always SINGULAR not plural!!!
I'm not offended by your questions whatsoever. It is praiseworthy that you don't accept things without investigation.
You must realize that the video "A Christian Becomes A Jew" was only meant as a short summary. If you couldn't put your questions in one video (and there are MANY you haven't asked), then surely you don't expect answers in one video. Many things you've asked in this video have been touched on in other videos, but not all. I'll get to them soon, b'azrath HaShem.
