  • so beautiful

  • yah thats the way to do it :) cool

  • GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You're an amazing player as always! I'm playing the EH in my Conservatoire orchestra and we're do Ma Mere L'Oye (Ravel). It's a gorgeous piece for the EH but do you have any tips on the fast technical stuff in the 3rd mvt. I'm just asking you on a hunch, I'm not even really sure you've played it before! :) Thanks for the attention and as always for your videos :)

  • It's been a while for me, I played this in school as well. There is a trick finger for the high D flat that escapes me at the moment. It may have a forked fingering in the right hand to allow you a better chance of getting the F. Let me work it out and I'll get back to you. I hope this is the section you are writing about.

  • @simontai1 Thank you very much! Yes that is the part I meant. The D flat and that F never come out. Perhaps it's not a very good Cor Anglais (It's a very old Riec), but if you do have some tips I'll be very grateful. Thank you again for spending time on this :)

  • Here's what I got. For the passage four meas. before reh. 6: use forked F for Db: 2 3 1 3 go to forked F the passage four meas. before reh. 8: use forked F and leave the left Eb key down throughout Don't shy away from the high Db, it's a pick up into the following bar. You can hear on recordings the note is not audible and it can makes the phrase musically incorrect. Hope that helps!
  • @simontai1 I hadn't thought of leaving the Eb down. Thank you very much for your help :) I'll go practice it!
