  • can't believe I heard this first time...Pogues rules

  • why is this so slow?

  • I prefer the later faster version.

  • Es inquietante. Notable.

  • Fuckin' love this song!!!

  • Quick you fukka's name your favourite Pogues song! This 'un is great.

  • heard him (them) sing that song in one min thirty sec live ,, belted it out,,,too slow,,

  • Actually if you're arguing nationality, Joe Strummer's in the band for this song and he was born in Turkey. Maybe it's a Turkish punk song...

  • its history, theyre vile and genocidal. not the govt but the people themselves. they all deserve to be sent to hell

  • @gasper47 what would you do if your friend stabbed you in the back for some shinies and missed. You'll really be vile an genocidal,we weren't.

  • @ILgInnnn yeah ok turk, and the jews stabbed the germans in the back, anything to excuse your genocidal ways. youre sitting on armenian land just as you were on arab land. but we dont forget and we dont stand down. revenge is passed on to future generations. so the next time you start another slaughter of christians and armenians remember karapagh. from now on the gloves are off..and you can join your ambassadors in hell

  • lul dooood i expected a metal song cuz i was looking for soilwork - song of the damned xD oh well...

  • i see they have tried but this is not even a little bit turkish

  • thats because there fecking irish you ejeet

  • tá amhránaithe eachtrach a dhéanamh ceol Tuircis barántúla

  • @stuartadams64 Shane is english!!! work that out

  • @lambert5321 Shane is english? I think,he is irish?but the band and the music is irish.

  • @loverplease his mother is irish and his father is enligsh or vice versa but who really cares, im canadian and lisen to mexican music sometimes

  • @stuartadams64 The only Irish members of The Pogues are Philip and Terry, both from Dublin. Shane is sort of half and half since he was born in Kent while visiting relatives but spent the first few years of his life in Tipperary. Spider, James, Jem, Andrew and Darryl are all English and Cait was born in Nigeria to Irish and Scottish parents.

  • @stuartadams64 Irish - sure, one born in Kent, 2 in the Midlands (Stoke and Worsely) another from Eastbourne, a cockney lad and a Nigerian bass player

  • @vulpecula999 not to mention Shane spent a size able portion his late teens and twenties in England.

  • @vulpecula999 Yeah, I was gonna say...

  • @Bobby01983 It's not trying to be. It's a mixture of different musical styles, mainly Middle Eastern folk, Irish folk and punk. It's not really trying to emulate Turkish folk music in any specific way.

  • HAHA.......Hes got new teeth now

  • How slow is this?! LOL

  • yeah but i like this too

  • amazing

  • Brilliant. These blokes are musical geniuses.

...Nor the nails of the cross

    Nor the blood of Christ

Can bring you help this eve...

    I love it.

  • absolutely

  • One of the best lines ever. Raw simple poetry.

  • I think this version is a bit too slow. I love it too, ofcourse, but I just think speeding it up like the Grace Of God version sounds better.

  • Is there a sped up version?

I've heard it live and it's much faster.

  • The Pogues

If I Should Fall From Grace Of God

    old album

  • @Postscript624 yes: the album version is much faster

  • I think I actually like this version better, it is more evenly paced, more powerful

  • Thanks for posting! It's so interesting to hear the "first draft" of a song. I agree, though, I miss Shane's shrieks.

  • I just bought the "Pouge Mahoney" box, it's a real treat :) I guess you already have it ;) But I wanted to recomend it in any case!

  • Try this in Engiish

  • Sorry, I got your reply, not sure if it was to me :) Try what?

  • Hey! I'm first to comment, what an honor ;)

Really like this version to, thou I prefer the album version from "...Grace of god." But this one isn't as hasty and that makes it easyer to listen to... miss Shane's shrieks thou ;)
