You have done exactly what everyone else does...you chose selective verses from the Bible. I'm sure that you read the Bible, but my question is, "Have you read the Bible all the way through, in it's entirety?" If you can honestly say that you have and then if you can honestly say that you never cringed or doubted the validity of a single verse, then alas, we have nothing in common.

My standpoint? Anything that rings true of peace, love and harmony is of God. So there is no need to repent. God loves all. God knows all. God IS all. Exclusion, intolerance and hatred are of the fearful, vengeful mind of human kind. Whether you choose to believe this is not my concern. My poetic thoughts are geared to those who have rejected brainwashing on all levels. I speak to a segment of society who can relate to mental freedom, that's all. No big deal. We just believe differently. Peace..

Please don't selectively quote the Bible to me unless you've read the WHOLE thing FOR YOURSELF. Seriously, most people say the same thing because they were CONDITIONED to. There are many acts that are listed as abominations in the Bible that we all do without thinking about it twice, like:

Lev 11:10 But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you.

Anybody up in arms about people eating shrimp and lobster? According to the Bible, it's an abomination. People seem to be so stuck on the use of the particular word abomination regarding homosexuality, but it's used over 60 times in the Bible to describe acts such as eating seafood and certain animals that people actually eat, cross dressing, getting tattos, and more. I mean, even LYING is an abomination in the Bible. Please feel free to check it out for yourself.

Have you ever read this verse?

Lev 20:9 For every one that curseth his father or mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; blood shall be upon him.

Why don't we kill our children for cursing us? It's in the Bible telling us that it is an acceptable act.

What about the verses used to keep slavery alive and thriving for hundreds of years? You know about those? Read the Bible, you'll find them.

My point is that the Bible may offer us some wonderful pearls of wisdom and peace, love and harmony, but there is PLENTY of nonsense in it as well. I just urge people to think for themselves.
