I like it, don't get me wrong, but I like it less than if I'd never heard Björk's version. Musically and vocally this is very good but it's too, for lack of a better word, soft. Björk's version had an emotive quality that this one doesn't replicate. It's like he's reciting the song without the feeling. I hear pain in Björk's version, like there's a big swelling of emotion just barely being bottled up. With the covers I just hear singing. Good singing, but with some songs, that's not enough.

I couldnt agree with you more, you nailed it, well put, its Very good but its not the song i get goosebumps to. it hasnt got IT.... it sounds a little repetative. The chourus doesent explode like Bjorks does.

Its a Guy with a guitar and a great voice, Given the production value she was given I've no doubt he wouldmake it memorable. For what it is, a stripped down cover its 10 out of ten. You missed the mark by a mile

Production value has nothing to do with the emotive quality of the singer. Watch any given live performance of Björk singing this song, you'll see what I mean. I never said this version isn't good, I'm merely explaining why I think it falls short of the original.
