when she writes a book, I absolutely hate her characters. Not that they were badly told or whatever, but I just hate their personallities. I hated Jacob from House Rules, and I hated every other character in that book, but the book was PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish they would've made a proper movie out of "The Pact" I can't seem to find it anywhere online, but then again movies mostly turn out worse than the books, so maybe it's a good thing I can't find it. I absolutely love Jodi Picoult and can't wait to read all of her other books.
@NinaSielmann I saw the movie and, honestly, I do not recommend it. I mean, the story is basically the same, but it doesn't compare to the book, the book is really much deeper.
i think that 'nineteen minutes' is the best, 'House rules', the second best, and 'change of heart' the third. Unfortunately, i didn't like 'my sister's keeper' that much....
You all keep mentioning handle with care, not read that one, any good? My favourates are vanishing acts, the pact, plain truth, and perfect match. Especially perfect match, just finished it for the 6th time haha
the pact was the first one i read & i loved it i couldn't put it down. i just got done reading change of heart & that book was really good too but i would have to say my favorite would have been nineteen minutes. that book is probably the most amazing book i've ever/i'll ever read
Plain Truth was a little hard for me to get into, but once I did I couldn't put it down.
I thought it was such an amazing book and that's why I bought so many other books.
I know for sure, I'll never run out of a book.
The ironic thing is, I never, ever read a book. I never was a book worm but I heard so many things about My Sister's Keeper before it came out, I bought the book and aren't I glad. Every time I go in a store and there's another book I don't own, I buy it, haha.
So, whilst I was in my supermarket, I went into the book isle and bought Plain Truth, then I started reading that, I went online and I bought 9 other books and am currently reading Perfect Match.
My sisters keeper was the first book i read by her too i went with my little sister and at the end of t\he movie we were crying adn i reached over and i hugged her im so glad i read the book and saw the movie
handle with care was really really sad.... i admit i did like the ending, but it wasn't really in like, a masochistic way, just a way where i could bawl my eyes out and shakily nod, "that was good, that was good," but yeah. sadness to the ending of my sister's keeper. i was excited to see how it would be, but they changed it. i was like yelling at the screen noooooo....
Jodi Picoult's books are soo amazing!!! You learn something from every book. You'll find yourself by the en of one of her books that you've either cried over the book or connected and can relate to the story. Keep writing Jodi!!!
Interesting interview - particularly about her experiences with the new film. It must be hard for an author to watch her creation be put through the film-making mangle with the numerous compromises that get made along the way. I wonder how her die-hard fans will react when it comes out?
Looking forward to her coming to the UK in May for her Handle With Care tour. If you live in and around Oxfordshire/ Berkshire, Jodi'll be signing at the Mostly Books bookshop in Abingdon on May 1st at 5.30pm.
I imagine it would be a strange experience seeing your words come to life. Every reader has his/her own picture of how a character should act, sound, etc. and it's nearly impossible to please everyone. Personally I thought the film version of The Tenth Circle was great.
I wish I could see her then, but I live on the other side of the pond! If she ever comes to Michigan, I'll jump for joy.
This woman is flawless in her writing skills. Amazing talent. She's one of those who's going down in History, for sure.

As a really young teenager, it's very VERY difficult to find good books that aren't too childish or too old for me. Picoult's books are PERFECT!

My Sister's Keep - the Movie, was murdered.
They should have kept to the book, I read the book, then watched the film and honestly, was so disappointed.
The book was amazing and I couldn't put it down and it was the first book I've read by Jodi Picoult.

@FlowerFuzz I 100% agreed! However, i did enjoy the movie. But they shouldve kept the book.

@FlowerFuzz I love the book, and the film. I felt the film's ending was better and more fitting than the book.
