"Real" communism is a great thing.. In theory. It's not an accident that we haven't seen "real" communism in any country anywhere. It doesn't work. It's that simple. You would need every person to be 100% perfect to run a country like that or else greed, envy etc. will be the end of it.

I believe that capitalism is needed and that it can be good in some cases but it has its limitations. I wouldn't want to live in a place where peoples survival depended on those who only care about profit for example.
Well, I think Denmark (where I live) has some of the highest taxes in the world but they're not 60%. Hehe It's around 50% which is a lot but I wouldn't want it any other way. :)

I don't know enough about the states in the US to know if this would be a problem, but there could be a problem with individual plans if one state has a higher percentage of poor people, sick people or whatever. A state like that would have a harder time paying for the care. That's why I think nationwide plans are better. :)

I think the democratic structures in SA need to be given more time to mature. There needs to be a balance between the ideals of the freedom charter and the various groups to be represented properly. Given time, I think these groups will distill their political structures to the point where they can eliminate the violent groups, igorant groups, corrupt groups etc.
Any breakaway groups will be buoyed by your support, so point out positives as well as negatives when you see them
interesting developments, but you cant be clear at the moment the extent to which this split is along ethnic/tribal lines. You infer in your vlog that one group, Zulu all dont follow the freedom charter while all Xhosas follow it. There might be more negatives than positives if this is purely a tribal split
So the "Rainbow Nation" is reduced to arguing over who's the king of the ANC. As I see it, a potential split in the ANC may be of interest to those who have some stake in pan-African politics, but locally there are still two South Africa's. What's the answer to that? "Real" communism is a great thing.. In theory. It's not an accident that we haven't seen "real" communism in any country anywhere. It doesn't work. It's that simple. You would need every person to be 100% perfect to run a country like that or else greed, envy etc. will be the end of it.
"Real" capitalism is no better though. It won't work either. You can't have greed run a health care system or whatever. People die.
Both are extremes that should be avoided. The key is finding the balance. ;)

Well, I think Denmark (where I live) has some of the highest taxes in the world but they're not 60%. Hehe It's around 50% which is a lot but I wouldn't want it any other way. :)
People seem to only see the negatives of high taxes and I don't understand why.. It's the positives that kick ass. lol
We don't have to worry about a lot of things as they're free here. Education and health care being the 2 most important ones. We get paid to go to school here. Hehe

But that's a misunderstanding imo. A country can't have too many people for it. More people means a bigger expense of course but it also means more tax payers.
It's obvious that we pay less for universal health care here.. We're only like 5.6 million people in total. But USA also have a lot more people to pay for it than we do. :)

I don't know enough about the states in the US to know if this would be a problem, but there could be a problem with individual plans if one state has a higher percentage of poor people, sick people or whatever. A state like that would have a harder time paying for the care. That's why I think nationwide plans are better. :)

I don't understand why everything isn't nationwide in the US. I know that they are states but today the US is really one country. Having 50 different laws just makes things harder and more confusing. :O
Plus, the whole point of universal health care is that everyone are equal and should get the care. Then you can't risk having "poor" states not being able to afford it. :/

The main difference btwn conservatives and liberals here is that one os big government while conservtives want a smaller govt

There are many myths about who does and who does NOT have healthcare insurance in USA.
One number states 40 million in US do not have health insurance(I doubt it's that high)
Does this same 40 million people not have cars, XBOX 360s, LCD flat panel TVs?
Are they underweight?
It's a bit odd to me when someone does not have health insurance, yet drives a Cadilliac SUV, wears $200 shoes and has a Blackberry phone.
Many believe that the state should hand them things for free..

You are correct, I've never been to SA.
However, I lived in California for many years and have seen lines at CA-DMV go outside and around their buildings. Then, when it's a person turn at the counter, the fun begins....
Nevada is 1000% different. You can go in at mid-day or afternoon, and be in and out in an hour. The people are very nice too.

I think the democratic structures in SA need to be given more time to mature. There needs to be a balance between the ideals of the freedom charter and the various groups to be represented properly. Given time, I think these groups will distill their political structures to the point where they can eliminate the violent groups, igorant groups, corrupt groups etc.
Any breakaway groups will be buoyed by your support, so point out positives as well as negatives when you see them
