  • Hey man, great sound. What tubes you got?

  • Did you record this with a shoe box?

  • Another Met fan playing.. :-)

  • Where did get/find this... And how much did it cost?

  • mine cant near as much gain. tubes are 4, 5 years old. puttin new ones in sooon. hope i help.

  • did your neighbor enjoy the sounds? :)

  • I'll break from the norm a little bit. My settings on my TSL are Treble between 5 and 6, Mids about 6 and bass about 6. I don't usually cut my mids that much even when playing metal. I go more for a classic old school metal sound (pre mid scoop craze) even when playing really aggressively. The mids make the guitar sing. Besides, people should concentrate more on playing the guitar than the amp. Tone starts in the fingers. I love my TSL because it lets my fingers articulate the sound I want

  • hahahaha and justice for all

  • whats the difference between DSL and TSL? please reply anyone, thanks \m/

  • @JoshGoldie 2 different marshall jcm2000 heads. the dsl. is the dual super lead (2 channels) and the tsl is the triple super lead (3 channels).

  • @JoshGoldie The DSL is based on the old JCM800s while the TSL is more the 900. The DSL is better for classic rock, blues, jazz, country and most modern rock. Although it will do the early Metallica sort of stuff if you dial it in right + use a pedal. For more modern metal and stuff like that, then the slightly higher gain of the TSL will be more your sort of thing. Personally I prefer the DSL, so that's why I bought one.

  • @JoshGoldie the dsl has 2 channels but each channel has 2 modes. channel 1 has clean and crunch. channel 2 has lead 1 and lead 2.

tsl has 3 channels; clean, crunch & lead. plus the tsl has a mute button and another button that cuts the power to 25 watts. it also has a F/X knob which is a seperate volume knob for the effects loop.

both the dsl and tsl have a deep (adds bass) and mid scoop button.

  • How about with some scooped mids?

  • I own two of these half stacks and a JCM 800 100w Combo. I also use 1960A cabs for both of my half stacks. Killer tone out of the TSL's (and the 800, to, as far as that goes).

  • I'm watching all TSL 100 tests @ YT - am back here and I must admit that only this vid (this sound exactly) it sounds really good.

I am playing two amps at once and now I'm lookin' for something what can sound good simultaneously with MESA DR and I don't know.. Engl Powerball, Krank Krankenstein or Marshall TSL 100...

  • what is the matching cabinet for this amp? I just bought this head, and Im lookin for a versatile cabinet, I play blues, heavy metal, and old school death metal. any suggestions?

  • @Malachi01 hey. You can´t go wrong with a marshall cabinet! I´m using a jcm MR1960 A and it sounds still good from clean to heavy metal. For more low end bottom try mesa boogie, Engl or Orange Cabinets! Sorry for bad english

  • @oooGibson92ooo thanks for the suggestions!

  • @oooGibson92ooo Just dont get a MC series cab... it sounds terrible. Line cab sound god with this head... wierdly

  • @MrPlasticCrocodile I meant Line 6 cabs :P

  • @MrPlasticCrocodile thats becaus the line 6 'valve series" cabinets are loaded with vintage 30 speakers.

    great value for money

  • @oooGibson92ooo bro sorry for correction but Mesa is high end shit!

  • @Malachi01 the lower the watt rating the quicker the cab goes brown sound eddie van halen first 3 recourds the higher the wattage /driver the more articulate the cab is mesa's are for drop tuners vanhalen used a 59 plexi wide open with a variac controlling the input primary voltage to the head they slowed it down to 86 volts on 10 and there you have the first 3 records break a leg c-ya

  • @Malachi01 also vanhalen used greenback 25's original version not reissues thankx

  • @Malachi01 they sound good with the G12-T's...

  • perfect metallica tone!

    well done,

  • whoa is this seriously the natural distortion of the TSL head? What are your settings now by the way, it sounds a bit scooped out. I would love to hear what it sounds like with more midrange in a solo context.

  • @leoseanster Yes mid are bit down! But its an great rythmus tone. Now i have an new amp mesa boogie Tremoverb and this amp is awesome. I will post a video and than you can compare ;) (sorry for bad englisch)

  • 6505 was the 5150. it was good enough for Van Halen. I think it'd be good enough for most then.

  • nice amp i own it i give it 6/10

a month ago i buy the screamer 50 engl another planet, i think i will sold my tsl100

  • Does this amplifier have more gain than the DSL? How much does this amp cost?

  • @xXlopoXx I think the gain is really the same...but for metal you need a booster for every marshall this just sound awesome. I live in germany an i paid for the head and the box 1150 € ( i think 1700 dollar) but in germany its very cheap. Mesa and engl are more expensive. sorry for bad english ;)

  • @oooGibson92ooo Haha your english is just fine, but what would you say is the difference between the TSL and the DSL

  • @xXlopoXx mh i never had an dsl but i think the dsl is a very simple amp for great clean and heavy distorten and in the tsl you have more flexibility ( Crunch Channel for some rythmus, for clean and dis. reverb....). I play in a metal band and the tsl is great for it because you can also use the crunch for some rythmus or classic rock things. The clean form tsl and dsl is really the same and the gain in lead channel is also really the same ;) I hope it helps

  • @oooGibson92ooo thanks for the help, i hope i didnt bother you in any way but my goal here is to find a GOOD metal amp but at the same time quite affordable. So i was wondering which one would handle metal better. Would you have any suggestions for a good metal amplifier?

  • @xXlopoXx Oh i give a lot metal amps. I tried a lot in thomann (maybe you know i live in this area) But when you are in a shop try these out.

    -Bogner Überschall (expensive in germany)

-Framus Cobra (expensive in ger. )

    -Krank Revoluiton

    Engl ( Powerball, Fireball, Savanger......)

But also try marshall jcm 800/900/2000 with a booster it sounds awesome and you have a great clean...

  • @oooGibson92ooo Whats your opinion on the Peavey 6505?

  • @xXlopoXx Peavey 6505 is a awesome metal amp i heard but i never played it. I listen to some vids on youtube and the lead sound great for down tuning metal stuff! But for me a little bit to mid scooped....do you want also to play clean? I dont listen to peavey Clean sound!

  • the tsl is a shocking amp

  • what was the volume's level?

  • The volume setting is very low sorry for that. Marshalls always sound better when they are louder...(sorry for bad english)

  • Idiot down there cant even spell Metallica!

  • tocas de la berga pendejo me la pelas !!!!

  • Go listen to some more Jonas Brothers then, fag.

  • haha

  • nice video!!
