I was just going through the "march" code while disassembling SMB3... the hammer brother is avoiding landing on another map object which is why he keeps going and going. (You never see two brothers "standing on each other".) The only thing I haven't figured out yet is why the N-Spade is "marching" because it shouldn't be...
