Wow, listening to this is like getting punched by a fist of nostalgia, seriously, this takes me back so far that I can't think without remembering being 8, laying down in the glow of the tv at 2:00 am half-asleep while this was playing. Good memories
I remember watching this late night. It pissed me off when they didn't air it on Cartoon Network & put some bullshit in its place. During that time, I was leaving an MMORPG I had played for years. The community sucked & it reminded me of the good memories I had made with great people that are now great friends with me offline.
honestly i reminis about my 7th grade memories when i hear this song, i feel this great nolstagia when i sit and listen to this, just reminds me of all the females i dealt with, all the friends i had, the video games i sat and played and mornings i would wake just to watch this gundam and yu yu hakusho thru the 5 o clock am line up , and all my adventures thru out seventh grade, just everything would blend together when i hear this
when i was 6 years younger around 2004 i would stay up late just to watch this show it brought meaning to my life and made the would look like it was bad at all.
The dot hack series was my first manga and my first anime. particularly legend of the twilight. The song is great and ive always loved this show. Its the same for me about waking up in the morning to watch this show on tv just like with zoids chaotic century, granted .hack was a bit more mature so i didnt quite understand it as where zoids was something i could easily relate to at age 8 lol
this is probably one of the most beautiful anime ending i have ever heard because it is so deep to mean when i first heard this when i was like 12 i almost cried and i wondered why.
exactly i remember getting up automaticly around that time like 2 miniuts before it starts to see this i love the song one of my favs i would also wait for yu yu hakusho thats my second fav anime thats when cartoonnetwork was still ok im 14 know but thats when friday was my fav day of the week talk about a way to end it
I'm the same way. I used to make sure I never missed an episode of this show. I loved it so much and I grew up with it. I grew up with many animes that will always be with me and a part of me because they formed who I am.
And if you have a problem with that, tough cookies. =3
i love the .hack series and every last series it brang to me from the anime to manga to games to what ever else that I couldve been in touch with it. BUt i never could like the lottb series as much as the others....it was cool at first watching the new series after not seing the ending to sign. But this series somehow failed my expectations
It's more about the memory of waking up just to see it, at least for me. I can watch it online, of course, but the magic of waking up at two in the morning and being glued to the screen, right up until the very last note of the song... That can't be recaptured in just looking it up online.
I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN - AND I'M PRETTY SURE EVERYONE ELSE DOES TOO!! I mean it's great that I have loads of anime available right on my computer through the web and stuff...but I remember back while I was staying in Asia for 3 months or so...I would stay up nights just watching such great anime on Animax. I was definitely glued to the screen.
Jeese...I wish I can watch stuff again on my T.V. - but there isn't anime like this anymore. I don't have cable/satellite.
@shadowpal2 I'm glad you agree. It makes you feel that much closer to something when you have to (and want to) go out of your way just to see it. That's something I really miss about watching shows on TV, the memory to go with the story.
Thanks for taking the time to say something back. ^^
It's like a damned sickness! I can't help but listen to the song. So many memories from my childhood, such as waking up at 2:00 AM to watch the show. I wish I could bring those years back.
punched at 1:00 am to watch this ep, and fell asleep to this song. was next to my friend in the living room....at my dad's house where i am no longer welcome...that was years ago. and my last affiliation with this anime. because i was never able to find it. this brings me back...thanks. you really made my day by posting this.
everyday i listen to this and think back to 4 years ago when this was on and i always watched it on friday from 1:30am to 2am and i really loved the ending and .hack dusk kicked ass this is my favorite ending of the whole .hack series
Dearest is one of the InuYasha ending songs which is sang by Ayumi Hamasaki. Check it out if you want to. I personally thought they sounded very different, but I could see what she means though.

In my opinion, Shugo was just as much a hero as Kite and Haseo were.
It'd be awesome if he were the star of his own .Hack game, but sadly the final game is coming up for PSP

Anyway, now that the obligatory annoyance is out of the way, what's "Dearest"? Another anime ending? Never heard of it...
