@diegochangos marching drums are bigger mostly made of wood for better sound and have Kevlar heads and plastic snares that hold a lot more tension than kit drums. kit drums are cheap metal and have a very thin head and metal snares

I am a percussionist in a high school band and one thing we do that you should try is we keep our chins up and never look at our drums, and also, stop switching grips, going between them is flashy but it get in the way of actually playing

@thempercussion this is an individual performance for one. A solo he made up... On the spot lol. You can do whatever you want to do in a solo you created. as long as the sound quality and consistency is not effected.

@thempercussion Haha, I appreciate your comments. This performance was more about incorporating visuals and playing on the go; I didn't really have much of a steady idea to work upon. While yes, keeping your chin up and not looking down at the drums is nice, it's not always an appropriate stance to use when drumming. It just depends on your environment. Playing with a full line at a parking lot? Definitely.
