  • This one of the few films of Scott I haven't seen. Looks fabulous. Your editing as usual is spectacular. The score is interesting maybe a bit too contempary sounding for my ears but still distinctive.

    Cheers

  • Just a word "Masterpiece"!!!

  • one of the most underrated and unknown movies by people

  • what is Keitel saying ?

"nah !" or "là !" (short for voilà)

  • @zerokomma

    thank you :)

by the way Keitel's character is based on général François Louis Fournier-Sarlovèze (1773-1827) aka "El Demonio" who was both a gifted man and a psychopath...

  • I only saw this movie for the first time recently and I have to say that it`s one of Scott`s true masterpieces. The Blake score is so perfectly nuanced, it haunted me long after the picture ended. Thanks for uploading.

  • @Valdez244

its a great film...one of Scotts best

  • Great movie! Ridley Scott at his best. A sublime masterpiece, the direction to the soundtrack, through the performances and cinematography.

Thank you for the great work in editing and sharing.

  • @strategus999

    thank you.

  • Remains one of the most haunting films and music Ive ever experienced. Can you believe the same man who did this directed Gladiator? I really can't understand it. The final shot of Keitel watching from the hill is one of the most epic shots in film history, and one that epitomizes the napoleonic era better than any other work of art, bar a few beethoven symphonies.

  • @SharpeyCol

...definitely Scott at his best with this film....haunting, immensely beautiful and packs a punch too. Superb film indeed miles away from Gladiator.

  • Howard Blake's melancholic highly Romantic theme is inspired by the second Menuetto of Brahms Serenade No. 1 in D, Op. 11

  • @briccialdis
