  • Girly song from my era:)

  • That Francis Collins in the middle is GORGEOUS! I didn't know Prodigy from Mobb Deep was her son...but see it clearly now.

  • whether it was "the Crystals" -- or "The Flowers" -- Ronnie Spector or Darlene Love (all of whom were wonderful) that which I would like to know is -- Who is the blonde gogo dancer...

  • Someone mentioned that this was not really sung by the Crystals. These ladies don't even look like the Crystals. Is that Ronnie Bennett (Spector) of the Ronettes on the far right?

  • @tbonenfant I think it's her sister Estelle "Ronettes" Bennett.

  • @TravieAviary It's Dee Dee Kenniebrew of the Crystals.

  • @tbonenfant That's Lala Brooks, Frances Collins, and Dee Dee Kenniebrew. Lala and Dee Dee are original Crystals. Fran joined later.

  • Sung by Darlene Love as someone already mentioned..not sung by the Crystals. A great song. And a great voice.

  • This site...like everything else you create, is loaded with great music...

we need to add more hours to the day just to enjoy your treasures!

Be sure to get your sleep Dear...in order to rest your wonderful spirit!

  • we DJ a party in south Florida and I met Francis Collins yesterday one of the members of this group what a nice lady.

  • Great to see the Crystals in this video. LaLa looks beautiful!

  • I like this song. The Crystals were a great girl group, to me in the 60's.

  • Written by the late, great Gene Pitney.

  • should put the entire clip up,so it doesn't abruptly end .i fuckin hate that! good vid and cute girls.white kid in the tree is a tard.

  • This is a great song! Thanks for posting :)

  • first posting of this video/song, thanks..

  • Absolutely one of the best songs of that era....great lyrics and great rock sound with that wailing sax. And of course love the girls and the dancer (except the dork in the tree). As one of the rebels, I pretty much (secretly) considered this as my personal anthem.

  • Meet Dee Dee at a Doo Wop show at Wolf Trap in Vienna VA last night. Funny lady, not too big on La La these days...Dee Dee fronts a Crystals group these days

  • @rbruce007 Yeah, Dee Dee doesn't like the fact that Lala is performing again. Competition.

  • In A WORD PURE CLASS

  • 1:02 oh shit

  • can anybody tell me whatever happened with gorgeous Francis Collins? I`ve googled her and there is nothing about her

  • @carolingianVI Hello, Frances Collins lives in Florida, where she owns a dance studio. She has two sons, one of which is the famous rapper, Prodigy, part of the duo, Mobb Deep.

  • You know, it almost looks like at several points that DD is trying hard to keep up lip synching to Darlene (Love), who actually recorded this song. Ah, but who really cares, like Tidefan said, can't go wrong with GO Go Dancers, than the song was simply :GREAT!

  • this Music will live on forever, because it was simply GREAT

  • Cant go wrong with Go Go dancers! =)

  • always always a favorite of kickassfan!!!!!!!

  • who ever posted this...I LOVE YOU!...

I realize these girls didnt sing this song it was Darlene Love, but I love seeing the 60's girl group clips!..

  • That looks like Terri Garr dancing next to La La Brooks.

  • Frances...you are just simply gorgeous!

  • Love this. reminds me of high school! I was probably in love with a rebel like most girls were back then lol! I loved me some Crystals! :D

  • Real swining number and cool group and dancing.

  • One of my all-time favorites - the song and the group! Thanks. 5*****

  • What are these ladies' names?

  • @jennifersenn Lead singer is Delores ("La La") Brooks, in center is Frances Collins (who joined group in early 1964, replacing another member), and on right is Dee Dee Kennibrew. Best regards!

  • @dpohunter Except this is not Delores's voice. It's Darlene Love's voice. She is lip singing.

  • Nice Post

  • The Crystals were on the road and not available to record this song, so Phil Spector had Darlene Love record it. The (understandably angry) Crystals had to learn it while on tour.

  • @pewmanfustudios

I read that the Crystals didn't want to do it - so Phil went ahead and recorded it with the Blossoms to to show the Crystals that he didn't really need them.

The Crystals weren't the only ones who were angry when the song was released asa Crystals' record. The Blossoms were feeling ripped off, too.
