HELP! I am on the 2nd forest visit with a jesus chocobo. The reason i didn't go to the lagoon again is because i CANNOT find the forth in the forest!!! I tried for 3 hours and still don't have it. I PLAYED 143 FUCKING GAMES!!!
you really gotta be careful with the chocobo transformations, though. if you change to flying (light yellow from ocean chocograph) BEFORE you can fly with ships the game skips right to Ipsen's castle. Found that out the hard way.
FF13 is crazy with the graphics. I haven't beaten it yet and I hope to beat it before you do the LP because I won't be able to watch it XD Personally, I've lost most of my interest in it. I'll beat it cuz I have it but...meh...I don't know. I love Snow, but that's about it right now. And Hope. I like Hope too.
It's probley late timing/early video to ask this but are you going to show off the trick to skip a large chunk of the game with a certain chocobo power HC?
As a sysadmin, when HC mentioned XOR, I thought of submasks in IP networks and how XOR logic can be used to verify that hosts are on the same network or different subnets.
XOR logic also determines that HC is the man, but that's a given.
I think the most absud part of FFXIII's "movie-ness" is the part where the scene between the final two bosses was so long that my controller shut itself off and I had to scramble to turn it back on to actually fight the last boss.
I think FF13 was a good game, with one exception... it should not have been a FINAL FANTASY game... it lacked all the elements that make final fantasy games great. The game offered little if any exploration, little npc interaction, but on a plus side, it had definate character growth that was really well done, great voice overs, and the graphics/ cutscenes are beautiful. I'm kind of glad it had a different composer for the music too, I don't think Nabou's style would have fit the game... :)
@ds17166 thats how i feel about XI and IV that shoud have beed call just Final Fantasy Online. I think Square Enix are tring to move FF to more action oriented to appeal to American gamers who most rearly play RPG if even finish RPG. Now that they have the DragonQuest sieries i think FF will become more like action with RPG elements.
I really didn't enjoy FFXIII as much as the previous games. I feel like the series has lost it's charm, but more importantly I feel that 13 was a let down and felt just average. FF7 was also somewhat average to me but I had far more fun with that game. I platinumed 13 because I wanted my money's worth before selling it, becuase after doing everything, replays wre a non option becuase i felt the story was good enough to warrant it.
I think FFXIII actually does a pretty good job of breaking up cutscenes and gameplay. Sure they're pretty frequent, but they never go on too long. I'm currently playing Xenosaga (admittedly, the DS de-make since I've already played the PS2 games) and god I'd forgot how much talking that game does... 4 hours in and I've had maybe 10 minutes of gameplay other than walking in between cutscenes.
HCBaily i know this is a long shot but have u tryed using pSX v1.13 if so have u after tryed this go to file in psx then go to configuration then go to sound and UNclick reverb the go into a random battle and u get some cool but weird music i like it not as much as the normal but still cool :)

noooo, that'd be a good sign. A game that has visuals rich enough to be mistaken for a real movie? Sounds good to me. Yeah it's cutscene heavy, but I'm not complaining. Plus, you want the ending to be cinematic, it's the end xD You want to see the result of all your hard work, and the conclusion to the story in the most amazing way possible.

You're using EPSXE, right? well, thought i'd mention, the item becomes bound to a location once you try to dig once, so if you try once then quickly save state, you can find it, load, and move right to it. Doing that I got pretty much everything (4-8 items) in half the time I had. a bajillion points!
Kinda cheating, but I figger'd that since I was gonna find the stuff anyways, and get the points anyways, I might as well make it a bit faster...

well yes, ff13 is a little like a movie. but certaintly not like metal gear solid 4. in my opinion anyways. and honestly, ffx's cutscenes seem to be a little longer than ff13 sometimes. maybe because ff13's cutscenes are more spread out

Yeah very basics of integrated circuits exclusive OR logic gate, XOR. I'm not a electrical guy myself but I had to do it in college. I'm more of a thermodynamic, fluid mechanics and so on kinda guy.
I always seem to have bad luck trying to get those chocographs or digging in general, maybe it's because I'm playing it on the PSP (I bought it used and it was hacked so I looked up how to install my copy of FFIX on it, ripped the discs and started playing it). Sometimes I'll be digging for like the entire time on the first treasure and find it at the last second and it's depth will be huge so I won't get it...
I don't recall that Mountain Chocograph being too hard to find (I think). Although, I do specifically recall one Chocograph that gave me a hard time. The clue was something like "It's out in the middle of the ocean", and the picture hint was basically... just a picture of the ocean with a few pixels of island in the corner. I had to finally resort to looking up an FAQ to get it.
@igorcro that's with two switches what about three or more switches what would be the XOR table for that? :-) circuits 101 let's throw in some LEDs in there as well.

@pious83 you can do the ragtime mouse sidequest anytime on any disc. I did it just before the final dungeon on disc 4 all 16 of them yeahhh!! It is random where it shows up. You just have to keep searching every forest.
Finding the chocographs is one thing but searching for the corresponding treasures is another, that is very fatiguing my friends. Cracks, bubbles and so on definitely not easy if you don't know what you are doing. HC I know you can do it.
I didn't realize you could do so much with CH&C this early. Next time I play this, I'm definitely following this LP - I mean, I thought I knew quite a bit about FF9, but I'm getting schooled almost every episode! LOL

heh the copy i had sorta broke i got a chocograph treasure then when returning to land and searching for the next one i noticed i couldnt get onto the sea anymore, i pan the camera around and i see that part of the map is gone, i turn around and only see one small hunk of what was a mountain, i turn round and i see one quarter of a forest.
I thought entering a menu might help but then it froze =/
Ok so i'm upto Disc 3 but it seems, extremely far behind with Chocographs and even the Ragtime Mouse visits(I've seen him twice)....Think I might just start over now.
@pious83 You can always pick up the Chocographs now. I think missing the Ragtime Mouse is permanent, but it's not a critical reward. Certainly nothing worth starting over for.
@pious83 If that's all you're missing, no need to restart. No chocographs are missable and I'm pretty sure you can't miss Ragtime Mouse encounters, since the number of times you can meet him (it?) is increased for some major events but never become inaccessible.

I love the chocobo sidequests! I, uh, don;t know how to say this... but I couldn't find the mountiantop chocograph for ten minutes... I hope it's because I love the cocograph sidequest so much that I got lost in the moment!

Either way, remember one of the rules of Let's Plays and Let's Players.
Never correct their pronunciation of Names and Places unless they ask.

@pious83 you can do the ragtime mouse sidequest anytime on any disc. I did it just before the final dungeon on disc 4 all 16 of them yeahhh!! It is random where it shows up. You just have to keep searching every forest.

Finding the chocographs is one thing but searching for the corresponding treasures is another, that is very fatiguing my friends. Cracks, bubbles and so on definitely not easy if you don't know what you are doing. HC I know you can do it.

heh the copy i had sorta broke i got a chocograph treasure then when returning to land and searching for the next one i noticed i couldnt get onto the sea anymore, i pan the camera around and i see that part of the map is gone, i turn around and only see one small hunk of what was a mountain, i turn round and i see one quarter of a forest.
I thought entering a menu might help but then it froze =/

Ok so i'm upto Disc 3 but it seems, extremely far behind with Chocographs and even the Ragtime Mouse visits(I've seen him twice)....Think I might just start over now.

@pious83 You can always pick up the Chocographs now. I think missing the Ragtime Mouse is permanent, but it's not a critical reward. Certainly nothing worth starting over for.

@pious83 If that's all you're missing, no need to restart. No chocographs are missable and I'm pretty sure you can't miss Ragtime Mouse encounters, since the number of times you can meet him (it?) is increased for some major events but never become inaccessible.

Another episode that's a testament to how much time you actually spend on each episode.
What was the total, 40 + 12 + the actual time of the episode? A whole hour into 15 minutes, excluding the editing time, too.

They're called Jesus Rabbits because they're more likely to kill you than get killed themselves, These things run rampant on Camp Pendleton.
