  • Patty,

Hate to be redundant but I'm willin' to say I love you as many times as it occurs to me and we have forever spread before us...before us all...I love you.

  • It's easy to love someone who's talented and successful. Better to love those who might appear less worthy of it.

  • She touches his or life with her wonderful talent. Patty wasn't always succesful but worked hard for it. Her humility and integrity make it hard to love her.

  • Great artists and poets can show humility and integrity in their work, without being particularly nice people.

  • Not sure what you mean. I'm normally sceptical about the personas we see in the media and it isn't difficult to find someone on the internet with something negative to say about successful folks, justified or not.

It's interesting that if you try this exercise with Patty Griffin you'll find it difficult to find one bad word; something I find remarkable given her profile.

It's quite right, we should share love with those around us. But folks like Patty can help put that love there.

  • She probably is very nice. I don't know her personally.

  • No me neither, lol, but through the various media she comes over well. You're right to say that folks should spend time loving the folks around them. I think what artists like Patty Griffin do is mirror what's inside us, put us in touch. Some of her lyrics touch on this, like our much harder is it to say kinder words and appreciate the folks in our lives (Long Ride Home)

  • should say hard not to, lol, my English skills are vanishing. It's a fact the English are cruelest with our own language.

  • I knew what you meant.

  • wonderful cover of my honky tonk hero.

  • Austin is fantastic. Go to Sixth Street in the summer. No better place in Texas.
