1-I agree about dressing the part. I'm self employed, make my living doing inside sales, and work in an office space by myself, but I still dress nice to work. Even though no one sees me, but the other tenants in the building.
2-Hang ups don't happen all the time for me. When I first started out in this industry it did. Especially when I called residential. I wouldn't touch residential with a 10 foot poll now. B2B clients usually are a little more professional then that.
