  • that bridge pickup sure fattens up with the overdrive. sounds sweet!

  • i bought the same guitar from a friend for $130 and i love playing it!

  • I have this guitar

  • i'm suffering. Here in Brazil is very difficult find one of these

  • danelectro is my dick cuz the more i play it the more i come

  • i have this one .

very beutiful color(blue burst), shape and tone.

further, i paid only about 170$ for it (used), and then, the tuner is very good .

if you need natural clean, don't forget Danelectro.

  • looks awesome :)

  • Ok, this is the ugliest guitar I've seen.

  • Great video! I love this particular model, and actually had one until my house was burgled and it was stolen, along with my bass guitar. I hope to get another one day.

  • love all your playin!

  • i heard it doesnt come with strap locks on it is that true?

  • Nice. Though, I have heard people complain about the Quality Control of these things. How is the Build Quality on yours?

  • Sounds cool. I'm interested in getting a 2nd guitar for slide, how does it sound with a slide? How is it set up? Is the action high enough for a fairly thick slide?

  • @jjguijarroiii I rarely use this for slide. I have a 63 Dano Reissue I was for that. I keep the action pretty high and as it so happens, the nut is a little high on it as well. Works great for slide.

  • @jjguijarroiii

I suggest trying the 59 DC for slide. Sounds more open, vibrant, round, warm and organic--optimum characteristics for me. The U2 seems more Tele-like, which is great if that's one's style.

  • that thing is so pretty and sounds so great.

  • hello ! how's the neck on the danelectro u2? is similar to what (es 335, strat, les paul)

great sound that came from the super champ xd.... congrats

  • @ruyZitho It's a little fatter than my American Telecaster and narrower than my SG. It feels just right to me.

  • hello ! how's the neck on the danelectro u2? is similar to what (es 335, strat, les paul)

great sound that came from the super champ xd.... congrats

  • Very nice playing and i saw that epiphone junior head in the back how do you like those im looking for a new amp and idk which to get.

  • Comment removed

  • @Yourmomathon I have since sold the Epiphone. It was okay, but not great. Always sounded kind of muffled to me.

  • Karl Sandoval, to the best of my knowledge, used to buy these exact guitars, take off the necks and make his famous Polka Dot Flying V guitars with them. This was back before he made the entire guitar from scratch, he liked the way the DanElectro necks felt.

  • does anybody have the review of the bass version of this?

  • now should i get one of these or an epiphone les paul? the epiphone is only $20 more, and i just cant decide! theyre both definately two pretty fucking sweet guitars.

  • @StonedPro These are very different guitars from one another. I'm not a big Les Paul fan; I have one, but I rarely play it. I play this one all the time.

  • @StonedPro Yeah, I agree. They are both different guitars. I have had many Gibson's and Fender's and the Dano is amazing! I would go for the Dano, the Epiphone is nothing special, although I agree it is more versatile.

Good lucky deciding, I hope I helped!

  • @cptmainwaring

i just got the danelectro for christmas, and i love it, its exactly my style :D

  • Just curious, what would be a good price for one of these it todays ecomony?

  • @foxloner Haven't seen any lately but probably below $250. That's a guess.

  • where can i find one? i couldn't find it on musicians friend, guitar center or at sam ash.

  • @himynameischr1s - They aren't making this particular model right now - check eBay and you may find some used '56 reissues. They are making the '59 reissue.

  • ive got same guitar ,same colour, had it for about 10 years, I think i paid around £100 for it brand new

agree with everyone else, for the money its a great guitar.

easy to play, never goes out of tune,

(probably not for guitar snobs that have £3k les pauls and can't play smoke on the water on one string ) for ease of playing ,looks, sound etc its really good

  • I'm so glad i have one...for me it's one of the absolutely best guitars comparing to the price...and the waight...man.. i think i can still play on this when i'm hundred years old

  • I have the same guitar. Bought it on ebay a few months ago and I love it.

  • V nice tone and style - been thinking about a Vibro or Super Champ for blues/jazzy playing.

Not tried one and seen a few web-deals - are they good for the money and any downsides in your opinion?

  • I think the Vibro or Super Champ are great deals for the money. I got mine on sale a year and a half ago. Some tube purists scoff but I really like it. Very versatile.
