i love when lost had these happy-montage endings. showing all the characters doin their thing as a great song plays. only in the first seasons. ive watched ever episode of every season 3 times, (took me forever), but nothing beats those first seasons. ahh lost. unfortunately i never got to see it a 'first time, i watched it the first time on abc, and they had that stupid lost starters kit, which spoiled the oceanic 6, the hatch, and the others. grr it was never a mystery for me :(

Granted, they still had a lot to deal with, but I feel like the first season was simple for the most part, and the most relateable. Also, I can't stand Ana-Lucia, lol xD

Awesome scene. This reminds me of how great Lost use to be. It is still great, of course. One of the best shows out there! But I really miss how light-hearted season one could get. Now there are literally no breaks, no pauses. It is just constant heaviness.

I completely agree! Also, Lost has lost what I truly love, the beauty of it. So far this season the temple storyline I despise, it is so violent(while some is alright, its a little over the top nonstop). Wheres the beauty of the island? The second chances actually being chances? Locke, my favorite character, I loved the storylines involving faith, destiny, etc. Hes dead. We finally got a break last season, I loved juliet and sawyer, now shes dead.

I loved how the island was redemption, forgiveness, love, second chances, and true healing. While there was some of the other stuff, now it just feels like mystery of course(which is a great element!) and Misery. Like I am looking forward to the end to have questions answered, and to see the characters happy again and the misery just come to an end!  I still like lost, but I no longer love it. It would be great if they can come back to where they started from.

I think that flash forward has the most hope right now to what I used to love about lost.(though it of course isnt lost.)

@kezman44 No it isn't, there weren't even any science fiction moments in season 1. LOST is a fantasy show, that became a science fiction in seasons 2, 4, and 5

@GrinningTurtle42 It was still fantasy in those seasons. It's a scifi/fantasy show, but very light on the sci fi. The first season was a mystery, and we did really know what the show was at all. We barely saw the smoke monster, which could have been anything, we had the numbers, but it was mostly about the characters.
