This was actually interesting. I'm 13, and I have a severe case of oral allergy syndrome, which sucks cause many foods will make my mouth/throat swell and itch up which causes suffocating. + sometimes asthma. Though I can't tolerate cocoa (chocolate), all nuts, many fruits, cinnamon, many other food allergies, dust, mold, etc. I still am healthy, but I take allergy shots weekly hoping my IGE level will go down.
is it dangerous to consume foods you might have alergy to... if its only causing skin redness .. it does not itch or bother me...can i continue eating the food ? i am not even sure i have alergy to the food
doctor could just tell me i have alergy to cat and dogs and a tree... but there could be cross alergy.. is it dangerous to continue if i just get red on some places and not actually bothered ?

I took shots and medications for years, and nothing helped get rid of it. Then I did some liver herbs and some body/mind work with acupuncture points (through my health practitioner) and my allergies are gone.Amazing...

this video is amazing! thank you so much! I am presenting a project on antihistamines and would love to show this video to my class. the only problem is I have to present the project in french. Do you know if it would be possible for me to access the same video without any text, so that i can just explain the process orally without the english explanation?

IF one can post a microscopic video , then one see, everyone can look rather then bring the conclusions and beliefs to it.. But since its an animation, and one must assume and have faith/ trust what it saying, it will be hard to persuade Socrates.
this is only true of molecules with molecular weights greater than around 1500. anything else has to covalently bond to a protein, thus changing its conformation, which can then ellicit an immune response
@boolykbol Yep! That's where all our histamine comes from. When they stuff that makes the allergic reaction come in contact with them, they either explode and let all of it out, or let out a lot of what they contain.
u know i hve allergy of every pet dander you can think of, i´m allergic to cats,Horses, dogs, hamsters, bunnys, guinea pigs, there are so many of e'm i can´t count.

Might HSV-1 be related to a skin allergy to aluminum, such as in shavers and razors?

I'm allergic to some mystrious thing. Every now and then, I get a rash that's not itchy, and not bumby. It's all over my body.

no, basophils are what produce histamines.
charoechan 1 year ago
@charoechan Basophils do also, but mast cells are PRIMARILY responsible for the histamine release in an inlfammatory response.

Desensitizing is the key!! I use a product called Sinol Nasal Spray which desensitizes and really works well!

Alright but how come the anti bodies don't protect against the allergens?
sclock2 2 years ago
i think they try to protect but just overreact...
thats why desensitization is a possibility against an allergy...
