  • That really is very, very good. I think you'd have it totally seamless if you pointed the outer cameras inwards at an angle slightly. The American Widescreen Museum has a Cinerama page and I think they have the technical specs of the camera rig.

  • @Cybjon That's exactly what we did. It's just hard to align the cameras, especially when they all have different focal lengths on their lenses.

  • Well done! I tried to get three Super8 cameras and projectors that could do slave synch, but never finished it.

  • Excellent guys! I didn't think anyone was still interested in Cinerama especially your generation. I use to run that stuff in the 1960's. Good job. Thanks for sharing.

  • Why don't you just get an anamorphic lens?

  • @idoor You're missing the point. These guys wanted to do it OLD SCHOOL!

  • don't forget beamsplitters on the camera's for a Cinerama 3D effect

  • Good job! How do you watch the footage at home?! With 3 video projectors or 3 monitors?

  • Thanks! I wish I had 3 projectors, and someday maybe I will, but for now we have to watch it on a regular screen *sigh*. I'm hoping to someday get 3 identical cameras and build a support stand to hold all three of them so I can move the camera and do some more interesting shots. Thanks for your comment!
