I am an Aussie, I live in a country town and drive a holden. You don't get any more Australian then that. I also play guitar and love to sing this song. Patrick , you sing this song bette rthan any one I have heard and your accent makes it that much better. Thanks for sharing Mick

I think it sounds just fine in an Irish accent and no less Australian, (and I'm a big fan of Redgum who wrote it) after all, have a bit of a think as to who some of the first European settlers were in this great country of ours... pfft
