Watched a dozen graphic vids on moon orbit n phases n not ONE except this brilliant piece included the dang sun. FINALLY! THis vid is great. Love how it shows the cone shape reflection of sun making it way to earth. Excellent.

The moon is tidally locked, so its orbit around the earth exactly matches its own rotational period.
