You should try and make one with Vedic Proportions. That would be more beautiful.  Check out this: Parvati images or look at some vedic deities. The proportions are unique.

Okay, something I don't understand and you're not the only one doing it, and I'm a bit curious, so: why do you start out painting her blue? Why not just choose the right color to begin with?

@Lythya I think it's to define the paint areas, so you don't leave some missing or with too much paint. Usually it's a very bright color like blue, green or red. But with something very bright, like yellow, you won't be able to see the areas I told. Hope this helps :)

@ebassify the lines you get in illustrator are you technical they dont have the flowiness that you can get in photoshop or other painting programs...dont get me wrong illustrator is a great program but i dont like the lins it gives its lines are really only good it you are doing super cartoony stuff or cell shading...

It's a setting that you can use. It's called web color. I don't find it much help to me, but it's actually very helpful in terms of finding the right color. ^^

gauntnoir: Usually what you do is paint the shading layer UNDER the color layer, and have the color layer blending mode set to 'Multiply'.
