That's why the AF pilots are getting all butt hurt about UAV's...they realize...we don't fucking need them. BTW, I can call up the VA right now, tell them i'd rather use my GI Bill for Pilot school. I won't be flying Super Hornets...or...P3's. But it's not like Delta cares. My point? This isn't the 1980's, old man. There's a little thing called UAV's.

uav's do the 18's job. only a matter of time before the navy catches on. I give you the E-2. but again, this aint the cold war. or World War 1. Nobody is an ACE anymore. No Red Baron, no Maverick, those days are gone homey. Only thing left for pilots are helos and transport. the rest of the missions can be done by some guy sitting in Nevada. USNA will be training computer engineers flying drones from out of some desert somewhere. USNA is an engineering school. I'll give them that.

@Rac665 I agree there's no aces anymore. But a UAV still (at any time in the near future) can't replace a supersonic fighter like the 18. UAV's can only carry a couple of measly hellfire missiles. I'm pretty sure UAV's will never be able to complete with a manned aircraft in a dogfight, so that will always remain as a job for what fighters were originally meant to do, fight. But if the day comes when Air Force One is being escorted with drones then I'm wrong.
