I love Jekyll and have played Utterson twice and all I can say is:
Sister, you acted the HELL out of this song. Both of you did. I liked the two of you backing off from each other kind of like "okay I know this is bad news, but I want it so bad!" It had to be interesting acting this role opposite your husband...how hard was Lucy's murder on him?? Seriously, great job, I'm glad I ran across this clip.
i think you need to listen to yourself. listento your vowels and intonation. try not to hol dthe sound in the back of your throat. close on vowels or try to sound like other people. find your voice.
i think lucy's costume is a little to grey, and not like a prostitute would wear... i'm thinking something not ripped... but the whole scene was amazing! keep up the good work!
Beautiful singing and fantastic acting. I lvoed Hyde's voice - very evil. The only possible problem I had was Hyde's hunch; it seemed a little over-dramatic. I know these things have to be exaggerated on-stage, but I think it might have been a tad too much. Also, Lucy seemed to not be quite frightened enough of Hyde; probably because he's your husband and you love him to bits! She seemed not 'happy' to be with him, but almost.
Otherwise...just wow. Your voices especially were gorgeous.
Thank you so much for your comments!! We appreciate any constructive comments... I think a lot of this has to do with OVER direction... (if you know what I mean) Other than that, I feel that Lucy is afraid of Hyde... But she also has feeling for him that she is SCARED of and donesn't quite understand (he IS jekyll underneath it all), She is intrigued by him... This is how I played it.
"lucy" beutiful powerful voice,,,i honestly didn't like to much hyde's voice cause he was trying to make it sound so creepy that he actually forgot to do more singing,,,and there were parts were his voice sounded great,,,but others just didn't,,,,thats my humble opinon,,,,again, great voice "lucy"
Omg you are both amazing. There's something about the way your voices go together that is just absolutely perfect. I just kinda wish there was more interaction between the 2 of you in the scene. Superb!! lol =]
This is *so* good. This is my dream musical, and you, (lucky!) were in my dream role! Hopefully, with any luck, I'll be able to persuade my drama teacher to put on Jekyll & Hyde next year. She likes me, so I think I can pull it off.
***Either way***
Very good, and I hope you make a healthy recovery from your illness.
Wonderful job! It reminds me very much of Linda Eder!!!

@shandymonte I like this video a lot, but could you just answer why Lucy was standing really far away from Hyde at the beginning and at the end?
It's a fantastic performance!

Aside from the fact this totally rocked-
I find it adorable as heck that you both were together off stage as well. "Stagemance"'s are always the best.

I think he made Hyde seem almost weak and grotesque verses powerful and sexy in a creepy way. Nevertheless, a fantastic job.
