Sounds like Tulsa is not the place to go. I won't ever retire. Can't afford it. So I will end up where ever I am at the time. But if I had a retirement and actually could afford to retire, it would be in the northern central coast of California. Mainly because everyone there is so happy and calm. Also there is no recession going on there at all. No homeless, no foreclosures and no beggers at every off ramp and liquor store.
We would like to go to Dandridge, TN, since I'm retired military, we may choose a location within driving distance to a VA facility for medical support. But we like the Dandridge/Morristown area for its outdoor access to the the Smokies.

@mobiltec Well i say retire, but what i really mean is move somewhere else to barely get by.. ha
Tulsa is probably cool but it sure doesn't come across that way when we looked for youtube videos about it.
We are going to Washington State next spring I hope we get the chance to head down to CA as well..

@athiker7209 Ahh, good choice. I enjoyed the convenience of the mountains when we lived in Knoxville.
