i have a non steam version of this game and i am currently running 1.3.10

i get an average of 7-10 fps normal gameplay (not the stairs just general gameplay)

skyboost gave me a DECREASE IN FPS to 3- 4

TESVAL showed no change.

but there is this one mod.

i forgot its name but i now i get 20 -27 fps average

I was impressed, even with the DLC I have great performance, even better than when I had the Skyrim HD Pack.

The taxi in Windhelm is broken. I paid the driver money and he refuses to leave. Check that for me? This is after patch 1.4.

@shoa31 Maybe your character's item weight is over it's limits? Should work after your items are under the limitation.

Does your taxi in Windhelm work? I was not overweight and after I paid the driver for Whiterun, I climbed in the back. But the driver kept saying lets go, lets move and would not leave.

@iluvpichu From what I hear that would help a lot with loading anything! What are your loading times right now? Mine can range anywhere from 2 to 15 seconds with a regular laptop hard drive

@iluvpichu Possibly. The big mod stuff like Script Dragon and SKSE are all updated to the new 1.4 patch so it can't hurt to try I think :)

@lendial As far as I know there hasn't been an update to either of them for 1.4 so they won't work. 1.4 might have made those mods obsolete. But maybe they'll find new ways to improve it.

Patch isnt out for consoles yet, sadly. I saw on Pete's twitter that they are submiting them to the manufactures this week. ;)

Hey I just purchased this game on steam and I can't download the beta. when I go to settings and I click on change, "Skyrim Beta" ain't showing <.< is this normal when you barely buy it?

@UNDESIREDRF Odd me neither. But I don't know if mine's gone because I have it already or if it's just not there... maybe they're preparing for the official update? :) Until then I recommend SkyBoost if you want more FPS.

@Predator3400 I'm not sure but I think the beta patches are only being released on PC/Steam for testing, but when they release it officially it'll update for consoles too.

@dudewarp Oops I totally didn't think of that. Open up Steam then go Steam > Settings > Account, then click Change for beta participation and choose Skyrim. :)
