I really liked this tutorial, and wondered if you can do on for Bliss like this, which to me was very straight forward, easy to get, not at all confusing, just my observation, a very good job, makes me even love the melody of that song much much more. It wasn't one of my fav. songs, but after this, yes, it merits to go right up there, the music is so pretty! Thanks for kindly, and for free teaching us. Anyone not thankful should go take a class and stop complaining, you did it for free

@busybuzzbuzz I don't really care. This was a free tutorial from almost 3 years ago. Unless you want to pay me (a lot) to learn something or have something relevant & constructive to say regarding something I'm working on now, I'm not concerned. And get better communication skills. It will help you in "real life." Cheers.
I wanted to learn this and I just got more confused when each time the notes were changed around. It was an honest opinion. I wasn't tryig to neede you at all.
@busybuzzbuzz Fair enough. I make tutorials once in a while to help people who want to play Tori and some others. I charge nothing for them and there are no advertisements on this channel.
Most people who provide anything useful on Youtube usually don't get enough viewers to make a bit of cash. I am a victim of Capitalism myself. You arenb't alone in your financial sistuation.
Thank you so much! Im trying to learn this now. Im pretty much a begginner player, I'm learning with alfreds basic adult course, on book two! Your hands are so big, i cant believe how you play some chords with 2 3 and 4 lol. My whole reason for learning to play is Tori so this is really empowering for me! PS your professional widow is great!
Hey thank you! This tutorial may be a bit rough on beginners cause it has a lot of references to chords, so don't feel discouraged. The China tutorial is a bit more tailored as a gateway for people exploring Tori on piano. Thank you for the comment on Pro Widow! That was so fun to play, and yes, I was moody that day so it gave it that extra "rawr" factor. :-)
You are really talented. :) Thanks so much for these tutorials, they are wonderful! If you could do some more songs from UTP, like Pretty Good Year and Cloud on my Tongue, that would be wonderful. Thanks again!
Thank you. Under the Pink is so complex aside from a few songs. I think a tutorial for Yes, Anastasia, Cornflake Girl, or Icicle would take 8 videos apiece! :-) But your choices are good. Cloud on My Tongue is a bit trickier than it seems but PGY may be viable. I'm thinking of a song from Pele and a certain B-Side that might make for good tutorials next. Thanks for the input!
Is A Sorta Fairytale kinda easy? I can play a little bit of Icicle but the rest is to hard for me. I'd love to learn Professional Widow, it looks like a blast to play!! But I bet it's hard as hell.
Cornflake Girl is both hard to learn AND hard to play! Eventually, after time, it becomes easier to play except for the solos which always take a lot of energy. Icicle was the hardest for me to learn. But it is my lowest rated video of all 100+. :-( Still, it is one of my personal favorites. Very bizarre, almost Hitchcock like in its insanity. Everyone should watch it and give five stars!!! J/K :-)
Good question! ASF is semi-easy to play, but would not be easy to teach the melody. It would be fairly easy to tech the chord progression, but since every verse is different, I could either spend 35 minutes showing all the notes in the voice/melody or say "you have to figure out the melody yourself" and the latter wouldn't be very helpful. :-)
As for Professional Widow, that song is VERY hard to play, hard to learn, and has a million things to remember.

You keep changing the voicings for the let hand chords as well. It would be better if you would keep them consistent for 'see and do' tutorial
busybuzzbuzz 1 year ago
The right hand was played differently at least 2 or 3 times at the beginning.
