i just watched the first film for the first time like 15 mins ago. and it looked amazing. sure there were some parts that looked like an atari, but there were others that looked like they could have been made today. like the parts with the people in the tanks controll room (cockpit for a lack of a better term) they were stunning. just goes to show that cgi should be used to advance partical effects not as affects on their own.
