Dexter season 3 was the only season of dexter I COULD watch on TV (1 ep a week deal) it wasn't anywhere near as good as 1 and 2. I knew it would happen because after the 1st 2 they couldn't follow it up ... another brother? police hunting him again? season 4 was great though

I've seen seasons 1-4 so far and I just started watching season 5(only seen episode one so far) and I think seasons 1,2 & 4 are great and season 3 was just ok. I've heard that season 5 is about the same quality as season 3. We'll see but I hope season 6 gets it back up to the quality or 1,2 & 4.

The first and second were incredible...then the third was just horribly disappointing...

what I always loved about Dexter was the heavy emotion (and the irony, because the protaganist lacks emotion completely!) and the third was just total empty shit. They must've gotten new writers or made some major change because Dex's character changed so much and I found myself detesting the show.

Season 4 is hands down the best season as far as I'm concerned. You won't be disappointed. And absolutely the skinner was just.. horrible. No real reason to him other than to keep the other characters busy.

Agreed there was only to points of this season were i felt tence and they were when he was stuck in the boot going to his bachelor party and when his apartment got broken into and the cop was cleaning his air conditioner
