speedvision was so great. it's not even a shadow of it's former self now. instead of great footage like this, what do we have? uh... The Racing Chef? WTF is that??
@danthemanpatrick WELL SAID. I couldn't agree more that Speedvision is not even a shadow of it's former self.
These Alain deCadinet shows were an absolute treasure.
I called my cable provider intending to cancell SpeedChannel when it changed to NASCRAP....but they told me it was now 'standard' and I couldn't cancell it.
Their coverage of Formula One is OUTSTANDING however! But that's about all.
@JGMagoo Agreed. I really enjoy watching F1 on Speed. Bob, Steve, David, and Will really do a great job. Also, what a great F1 season we had this year!
@JGMagoo even rally is gone in america. i fucking hate nascar. but america is so brain dead. even that is all we watch. he gonna turn left. then he gonna turn left. the he gonna turn left. all we fucking watch isnt it. all we watch. and we are supposed to think they are gods. theyre nothing are they.F1 or rally is where its at mate.not nascar.
the 1930s was AWESOME, these guys are incredible, nothing like the drivers today. these delt with death all the time and could rarely afford any mistakes at all. The nurburgring was very different than it is today, the back straight was incredible and had several blind rises
Germany was way ahead of the world on many engineering fronts. On civil planning the Autobahn concept wasn't replicated here until the Eisenhauer administration. BMW motorcycles won the Isle of Man, set land speed records, and many closed course grand prixs. The innovation list goes further, from aviation to rocketry and armor.
