Can anyone tell me if their human names are used at any point? I know they're not used in Axis Powers, but I haven't really got around to watching World Series or reading the manga yet.

If people talk about the UK and call it England, it's because they confuse that; they do that because England is the biggest and most known part of the UK.
So yeah...Arthur represents England (the country in the country) but also the UK (the country of the countries) :]

Ok like half these people arent in the anime. Vietnam??? Tai wan? Korea? Hong kong? Unless they havent been in the anime yet. But for now, I belive that they are NOT characters and that they're fanmade.
@1337sir The characters such as Vietnam, Hong Kong, South Korea or Taiwan are official characters, like every other character you've seen in the video (plus new ones such as New Zealand or the Netherlands, etc. But at the time I made the video they weren't official yet). Mr Himaruya (the creator) published them on his blog and some of them already appeared in a few of his comics.
@Jeje9x13 Google "Kitayume" and the first result should it be (if you click it and a cute picture of Belarus appeares, then you're right ^^ After you entered, you can scroll down a bit to a tiny picture of Liechtenstein with the text "Blog". Click it again and you're on his blog. He will update the blog several times a week and new characters for APH will appear there first :])

sealand is a proprietary country, meaning that someone literally owns it. britain planned on making a new colony there, but abandoned it and since then, it has claimed its independence as a country.

@Jeje9x13 Google "Kitayume" and the first result should it be (if you click it and a cute picture of Belarus appeares, then you're right ^^ After you entered, you can scroll down a bit to a tiny picture of Liechtenstein with the text "Blog". Click it again and you're on his blog. He will update the blog several times a week and new characters for APH will appear there first :])

@Jeje9x13 Mr Himaruya started to give some of the countries human-names, like America. His human name is Alfred F. Jones. But after a while he stopped that so only a few characters got names :]

@foreveryoung41798 He has like three names: North Italy aka Veneziano (sometimes Veneciano) aka Feliciano. Feliciano is his human name, while "(Italy) Veneziano" is his full nation name, which is derived from Venezia, the Italian name for Venice, a city in Northern Italy (so he was called after a famous city in Northern Italy) :]
The same name thing also goes for his brother S.Italy~

Hey, Czech Republic(Czechoslovakia) is WRONG man. Czech Republic was part of Czechoslovakia¨, together with Slovakia. Means... Czech Rep. + Slovakia = Czechoslovakia. We are just Czech Republic.

@BeKeyPemi Hey man, I wrote it like that: "Czech Republic, (Czechoslovakia)" - please note the comma and the bracket! Mr Himaruya once wrote, as far as I remember, that he was planning a character for Czechoslovakia. Though he then said, he will make a character for Czech Republic. Lately he also mentioned Slovakia. So, I assume there won't be a character of Czechoslovakia, still I wrote it in my description cause it what was up-to-date at that time, no need to be pissed, I know history and geo~

@SkadiPirate Sorry, I wasn't really pissed or something. I just hate when people confuse us with Czechoslovakia. Maybe Mr.Himaruya was planning Czechoslovakia because Hetalia takes place in time in which Czech Republic and Slovakia didn't exist yet. Sorry again XD

sealand is a proprietary country, meaning that someone literally owns it. britain planned on making a new colony there, but abandoned it and since then, it has claimed its independence as a country.

@dragonairlover That doesn't matter...I also could go in my garden and say this is a country now, as long as nobody (meaning, another country or even better the entire world) recognise it as a country, it is not :]
It would be new to me that the UK planned a new colony there...I mean that thing was built 1943 mainly for defence against German mine-laying aircrafts...
As much as I love Sealand in Hetalia, in RL this is just ridiculous...I mean it's a freaking tower XD

Anyway...you can't compare America with Sealand! America has Flora and Fauna, etc. Sealand is a sort of metalic thing. That ain't no country :[

@dragonairlover Maybe you think different of the word 'country' as I do - a country is a geographical area, both in the sense of nation and state OR as a synonym for an independent sovereign state ;] And Sealand is not a country, it's a micronation, please look on Wikipedia, I can't write it all because we have a limited space to write here x'D. It's maybe funny in Hetalia, I'm also like "Go Peter, you can do it!" but really...you have to make a difference between a comic and the real life :]

@dragonairlover The conditions for becoming a country have changed quite a bit since 400 years ago. Back then, as long as you had a kind of centralized government, and could retain sovereignty, you were considered a country. In the present, the UN has to recognise you before a country gains independence in the global stage. Which Sealand has none of.
