I actually know this family and if only one family was going to make to heaven in this day and time, it would be this family. Im insulted that someone would accuse them of such a thing because i know i was one of the people begging them to do a show because the world needs to see that you can be a christian and still have fun. and on top of that be a family of christians. They are like the Christian Cosbys/BradyBunch/Partridge Family.

I am sorry, but you have highly misjudged us. First of all, I found your page through pulp secert because that would obviously mean that you liked comic books, which is something we like to talk about with Gorgeous Geeks. We do really love comic books and think doing that podcast is cool and we hope something can grow out of it.

As far as "Life with the Barrs" yes we want to be on tv and get our message out there, but we never even considered it until people told us how much of a blessing our family is and how encouraging we are to them. We just want to show families that they can be Christian, work in ministry, and still have fun. A lot of families are broken because parents are heartbroken because their kids have run away from God. We want to be an example.

Yes we have been trying to make it in the music industry, but we have never ever compromised ourselves in any way shape or form. What do you have against us promoting our image of family values, virginity, and ministry? We have sacrificed time and time again to do work for the Lord and we basically don't have much. We've learned to walk by faith and we've learned to completely trust in God.

If we could get on tv or if someone did want to promote us, we'd still be promoting God and we wouldn't compromise our message, not ever. Why is it any different than Toby Mac being famous. We've got some things to say to the world that we think is really important and we've reached a lot of people with the little resources we've had. We've traveled to over 18 different countries preaching the word of God and if we got famous and had financial support, we could only do more.

You think we're all in it for the money and out to get famous? Half of my family doesn't even want to do this. We can barely catch my mom on camera at all. However, we're ministering to people and if you've watched the whole episode you'd see that.

I'm sorry that you've misjudge us, but you seriously, seriously have. We are not in anything for the money or the fame. And most people don't understand how hard it is in ministry. All some people see are Joel Olstien and whoever else and they assume everyone in ministry is the same. That is not right, and you are not right.

We know what we have to do for God, we've prayed and he's laid certain things on our hearts and we know what God wants us to do for him. We are a good influence on families and we will continue to keep doing what we're doing.

Do you not believe that Christians should be put out in the eye of the public? How else are we supposed to compete with all the negativity that the world is spreading? We've got to fight against that!

And if you really don't believe in self promotion, than you really shouldn't be on youtube.
