  • ok did i miss the reason the p51 pilot was shooting at the kid

  • @toomuchlean p51 scored more kills against the ki84 because of its sheer speed.

  • Guys It's a Shame, because historically the Ki 84 Was superior to ALL ALLIED FIGHTERS in turn radius and climb rate. Read the " IL-2 1946 AIRCRAFT GUIDE " or WIKIPEDIA. It was an eccelent dogfighter and this video it's another shamy example that te history was wrote by the winners ...

  • @toomuchlean and technolagy is 1 thing winning is another.PS p51 had a better climb radius then any axis fighter exept the jets and rocket fighters.

  • That was entertaining. I don't see anything wrong with Japanese pride in WW2. Especially because we are friends with Japan now.

  • Since when are Ki84's as fast as Mustangs?

  • Since when do pilots talk like robots?

  • I like the P-51D Mustang the most

  • fantastic video!!!nice ,very nice ,realistic!!please i want thousand like this one!!

  • 疾風がP51に低空のドッグファイトで一方的に負けるとは思えないが、P51が子供を面白がって機銃掃射している史実に忠実な再現は良し。

  • this vid is more pro japanese at what they wanted it to be but in actuallity it would have been over much quicker than that with thosee p51 firing on the japanese planes = kill easily

  • @panzergrenadire yeah, jap planes had like no armor, if a P-51 got on one, it would tear it to pieces

  • @potctk

Ki-84 Frank had 70mm bullet proof glass and 13mm armor on the back of canopy which had enough protection against .50 cal.

On January 7, 1945, a Ki-84 piloted by Sgt. Mizunori Fukuda had fought with 3 P-38Ls including Maj. Thomas McGuire: the 2nd ace of USAAF, and shot his plane down. In this case, the Frank got fired by 12 mashine guns of 3 lightnings and taken several hundred shots but he returned alive.

So I don't think Ki-84 could easily burned with short burst like in video.

  • @deathstrike44 he got lucky, because I could shoot down a zero with a M1 Garand so yeah :P

  • @deathstrike44 Oh rly? The Ki-84 front window could withstand a tanks maingun?

  • 帰りの燃料で、ドッグファイト長くできません。

    故障機は、見逃すのが普通では!?

  • Funny, the P51 was more of a bomber escort than an actual dog fighter.

  • @BallsInYourJawsBitch

That's inane. A late war bomber escort was a dog fighter with long range.

  • Jajaja Pendejo de Mierda

  • これ完全にアメリカ寄りのゲームだわ

  • The Zero was not in the same league as the Mustang. What else is stupid, the Mustangs fought in the European theatre, not in the Pacific. The Wildcat, Hellcats, Corsairs and P-40's were the ones that gave the Japs payback.

  • @christopher5361 The Japanese fighter in this video clip is a Ki-84 "Hayate"...NOT a "Zero". And the IJA Ki-84 was very much an equal to the Mustang. Also you are wrong...the Mustang did serve in the Pacific theater. P-51's escorted B-29 from Iwo Jima all the way to Tokyo...they where part of the VII Fighter Command - the 15th, 21st, and 506 FG's.

  • @christopher5361 nope. the mustang flew from bases in iwo jima and frequently crossed swords with the ki-84, ki-61, ki-100, N1K2-J, J2M, and other late-war Japanese variants. and the Zero is not represented in this animation...

  • @christopher5361 Wrong, the Mustang did fight in the pacific, mostly after Iwo Jima was captured. The flew escorts for bombings on mainland Japan.

  • ていうか本土の疾風がこんなエンジントラブル起きるかね。

    B-29なんか脱落機かなり出てます

  • TIL Microsoft Sam fought in WW2

  • That last comment is true at the beginning of the war, but as soon as the Hellcat and thunder bolt versions were produced they could out climb a Zero, and this fact was a hard lesson for some when it happened. But I really don't like getting into these kind of debates about events that are part of history where many people in fact lost there lives because of the reckless and supremely arrogant actions of a handful of leaders who would rule over all.

  • hehe always american will win in these kind of hollywood style movies . but in real I belive KI 84 are better in climb and turn so they will be win if they have had advantage as in this video.

  • @mirzayousef nah p51 is better in all catagories

  • @mirzayousef your commet sucks pinche puta

  • Pause @ 1:26 - Kid's neck? XD

And why is he cheering on the US when he's japanese?

    And @ 0:08 - Do a barrel roll? XD

  • Lol wtf @ the American voice @ 0:47 XD

  • boring of course p 51 wins

  • whats with the voice overs!!? Sounds like lame arse robots bahahah

  • I have heard that "the people of America consist of 1% of geniuses and 99% of idiots."

I could clearly understand the reason of it by watching this video.

  • Read the history of this video's contributor. He's merely a kid. I guess the mental age of this chap is considerably low.

  • Sometimes American lower animals feed on each other, like the cases of Los riot and Katrina disaster. These actions are precious samples for zoologists. U.S. monkies are clever enough to use guns.

  • @uhock oh you silly ignorant racist lowlife troll. just be thankful that the Americans didn't slaughter all of Japan during her occupation, but that would have been most uncivilized now wouldn't it?

  • Thanks to the ultimate sacrifice of the Muslim heroes, thousands of rednecks and niggers were exterminated in the 9/11 attack. I pray that all of American white pigs and black cockroaches will exterminate and cease to exist from the earth some day.

  • @uhock

People like you make me wish some times that we didn't stop with just nagasaki and hiroshima.

  • I'm gonna travel U.S. this summer vacation. During the trip, I will go to the site of 9/11 attack, and will urinate on it.

  • I was surprised at the hight of American apes' IQ. They are wise enough to make such a rubbish kids animation.

I got entertained to my heart's content by watching monkey shows of 1992's Los Angeles riots or 2005's Hurricane Katrina. How exciting! American monkeys killed each other by wielding human's weapon.

  • I was wondering about pilot performance in WW2 compared to who's plane the best. If Japan had a crackshot pilot and still alive, would it be considered a shame since most of his compatriot killed themselves in a kamikaze attack? Would such a state of mind enables only rookie pilots to fly Ki84 against more experienced P51 pilots?

However the fact remains unchanged, Japan air power in WW2 was reduced to scrap.

  • @deestilo Some Japanese aces survived the war.

Most Kamikaze pilots had done something that was considered dishounorable, and they were allowed to regain their honour by dying for Japan and the Emperor. Many of them had only enough training to fly to the target. Experienced pilots were not usually wasted in this manner.

The difference was that they were forced to keep on fighting. US pilots were rotated so the experienced pilots could teach new pilots and what they learned was passed on.

  • Apparently Stephen Hawking is a crack P-51 pilot?

  • WOW, I just read about the Ki-84 in Wikipedia and was suprised that Japan made a (almost) better plane than the P-51. I thought the A6M was their best. (except Prototyps like Shinden and A7M)

  • WOW

  • When I first saw this video 5 years ago, I was dreaming that SoW:BoB will look like this video one day. Not until today do I know that my dream will never come true.

  • Lol, an argument over which plane is better on a fake video, lol. Easy answer, who defeated who? Who's air force won most major battles and won the war? So which aircraft was superior?, obviously the victor.

  • to me they are equal but in this situation the Ki-84's are outnumberd 2 to 1

  • P51 dare not dogfight with ki84 in low alt . p51 cant beat ki84 in climbing, turning and fire power ,only one way p51 can do just hit and run run run

  • P51 dare not dogfight with ki84 in low alt . p51 cant beat ki84 in climbing, turning and fire power

  • Why would a P51 strafe a bunch of bamboo huts? Whatever, BOOM goes the atom bomb and this fight is OVER bitches!

  • 私台湾じんですけどこのムービーはおかしいとおもいます。

    Ki84の機関砲何十発も喰らってP-51はなんとも無くて12.7mm1発でKi84が火を吹いてます。

    BEST ANSWER

  • @dddhjk415 あなたが間違っている、我々は常にアメリカに勝つと常に勝つ

  • This could have been staged to demonstrate bad tactics or to make the P51 look good. The KI-84 was a better fighter, more maneuverable and had a better climb rate. The only thing a Mustang pilot could do is lower the nose and run. Here we see a P51 outturning and outklimbing a Ki-84. This must be some kind of magic.

Several Japanese pilots die for no good reason. In war, people die for no reason so perhaps the final words "war is over" give a hint to what this video is about.

  • @StimuLAZ if anything i guess you could say this was a how a Wildcat or P-40 take out zeros and ki43's. i'm glad to see that all the people in this video aren't hateful trolls and actually look at the facts, what ifs, and how comes.

  • @StimuLAZ You need to do more research, a P-51 would be outmanuvered and possibly outclimbed but would be faster, better diver, better roller versus turning of the Hayate though the mustang zoomed climbed better. Now let the P-51 have 44-1 fuel pushing 77" manifold pressure well.....

  • @ickysdad Well, I don't know what 44-1 fuel is so maybe that proves your point that I need to do more research for the sake of argument. However I have not posted for the sake of argument (assuming argument means a contest rather than information exchange).

I suppose the 77" manifold pressure implies a supercharger. From my research to date the superchargers were very effective in high altitude bomber escort duty. At low altitude the supercharger had virtually no effect.

  • @StimuLAZ A P-51 at sea level could hit about 380 MPH on the standard manifold pressure of 61" running 100 grade fuel which is about 20 MPH faster then the best at that altitude I've seen for the Ki-84 . Now when running 44-1(150 grade fuel) the P-51 can hit around 400-410 MPH at SL. The top speed for a p-51 on 100 fuel I've seen is about 442-444 MPH with climb rate of 3500+ FPM,on 150 fuel about 454 MPH and climb rates of 4500-4600 FPM.

  • @ickysdad OK! Was this fuel available in the PTO during the war?

I know the Japanese had a shortage of fuel because of disrupted supply lines and no high octane fuel at all. A captured Ki-81 was tested using the same fuel as the US fighters used and a significant performance increase was noted.

  • @StimuLAZ and yet the only measure tests against a Seafire using Allied 100 grade fuel showed a top speed of about 400 MPH with 330 MPH at sealevel.

  • @ickysdad I don't see what the Seafire has to do with this. A top speed is a top speed and if Japanese flight instruments can't be trusted then an American Pitot tube and airspeed indicator can be installed. Is 100 grade fuel what the allies used in the PTO in 1944 and 1945?

By the way, I have given inaccurate figures for the service ceiling, so 23 000' is possible but I still do not expect the Ki-84 to have any advantage at that altitude.

  • @StimuLAZ I bring up the Seafire because it involved an actual measured test not an estimation which alot of people use to prove the Ki-84 was faster. I have copies of all the documents involved in both thre TAIC which shows the 427 MPH speed and is an estimation while also having the one which is measured,i.e. the head to head against the Sefire. The Allies did have some 44-1 fuel in the PTO but it doesn't matter since even a stock P-51/P-47 /P-38/ F4U was faster, the F6F as fast.

  • @StimuLAZ The speed listed for the Ki-84 hitting a superior speed at 20,000-23,000' then a P-47D or P-51 is from a TIAC which wasn't a measured test but a calculation of what the plane should do.In fact the figures on the TIAC ,which several authors down through the ages have relied on to prove the Ki-84 superior, are the same taken from a manual issued to US pilots during the war. On manifold pressure a Ki-84 probably couldn't even make use of overboost like Allied fighters could.

  • @ickysdad Well, I wouldn't credit those figures. The normal Ki-84 had a service ceiling of 10 500' so getting it up to 20 000' is an amazing feat in itself, and expecting it to fly at that altitude is a pipe dream. There were some high altitude variants but they were rare.

In any case the video contains only low altitude action (apparently below 7 000') and that is what I have been commenting.

  • @StimuLAZ 10,500'??? uhh where did you get that figure from? Anyways it seems even at low altitude, the Ki-84's best envelope compared to a P-51, the IJAAF fighter us still much slower then a P-51.

  • @ickysdad No, that is meters. It should be 34 450 feet.

Yes, going flat out, and if you transition smoothly from top speed into a climb you get some impressive climb rates for a short time. These can be much higher than sustained climb rates. In a turn fight speeds will drop to around 250 knots. Running away initially depends on acceleration, not top speed, and climbing away will depend on the sustained climb rate.

  • @StimuLAZ and if the P-51 puts it's nose down it will accelerate much faster then a Ki-84. In alot of professional circles it's felt that zoom climb is more important then sustained climb and rolling more so then absolute turning ability. You know something else an outnumbered group of FM-2's encountered a mixed group of Ki-61's & Ki-84's in 1/1945 shooting down 8 for no losses. P-51's also at times put their nose down slightly to keep up speed in a turn.

  • @ickysdad The question is when it will accelerate more. If they are flying near the top speed of the Ki- 84 the effect would be immediate. If on the other hand they are initially flying at at 250 knots then the Ki would gain until it nears its top speed. In this speed range the power/mass ratio is decisive. Beyond this range the Mustangs superior streamlining is decisive, so the Ki falls behind due to drag.

Don't forget, the Ki-84 can also lower the nose to increase acceleration.

  • @StimuLAZ I'll be the first one to tell you that whoever sees the other first has the advantage however according to my info at SL a P-51 in stock condition hits 380 MPH,a Ki-84 around maybe 330 MPH . Now 250 knots that your talking about is about 300 MPH maybe take 10 MPH and there your really getting into the Mustang's best performance envelope regardless of altitude as per rolling and manuverability.

  • @ickysdad Too late mate. You are not the first to tell me, and in this age of guided missiles I must agree. However in 1945 it was not necessarily true. Seeing the enemy first may present an opportunity to gain the advantage, but a significant difference in altitude is difficult to compensate. I feel that a pilot needs to know the strengths and shortcomings of his aircraft, and stick to tactics suited to his aircraft. We will not resolve this.

Do you feel the video is realistic?

  • @ickysdad Quoting numbers and popular opinions can be misleading.

The P-51 is generally considered the best fighter ever built, and this opinion is mainly based on kill ratios or total kills. This data is mainly from high altitude bomber escort missions over Germany. This is partly because the P-51 was there. The P-47 and the Spitfires did not have the range. It is also because the Mustang is superb at high altitude fighting. This does not mean it is superior under all conditions.

  • @StimuLAZ I can agree in part that it's not superior in all conditions especially under say 300 MPH and low altitudes. I can agree if a P-51 is strafing ground targets and somebody dives on it it can ber caught at a disadvantage.

  • @ickysdad If you can agree in part, I take that as a good sign.

I am not interested in winning an argument here. I am not pro Japan. I just think the Nakajima team that developed the Ki-81 did a good job and deserve credit. It was radically different from what other Japanese designers were doing. I don't agree with everything you say and you don't have to agree with anything I say. We think differently and that is ok by me. At least we understand each other on some level.

  • @ickysdad Yes I know about the "boom and zoom" school of fighting. The point is you must conserve energy to succeed. It is not magic that works whatever you do. Potential energy is converted to kinetic energy in the dive, supplemented by engine power. A smooth transition from the dive to a climb is necessary to conserve that energy for the climb. Any unnecessary manouver will bleed off energy so there will be no zoom.

In the video there are many high G manouvers that drain energy.

  • @ickysdad The incident you describe is easy to accept. The US pilots were well trained in tactics that worked and also experienced. At the time the Japanese had very few experienced pilots left so their aircraft were flown by hastily trained rookies. I seriously doubt you are suggesting the FM-2 was superior to the Ki-84.

The video is unbelievable. Both the P-51's and Ki-84's are doing stunts way beyond their limitations, and the P-51 pilots should know better than to even try.

  • nice that p51 shooting on kids..., i think at that low alt´s the Ki´s would get that p51´s..

  • The P-51 could beat the Ki-84 with boom and zoom tactics.

  • @TheRealHawkeye The converse is also possible given the Ki-84 had a superior rate of climb. Did you see that P51 gaining on the Ki in a climb? It was not a Ki-43, so that should not be possible.

In this video it seems the Japanese pilots agreed to let the Americans shoot them down. What happens in this simulation is unreal. In the real world, P51 pilots had some advantages. They had better training, more combat experience, a little more firepower and some hope of winning the war.

  • The Georage was a bomber killer, hence the cannons. The 51 was a fighter (for the most part). Flown correctly, the 51 would make short work of the George.

  • 日本機は強い!

    ・・・まぁ最初だけだけど・・・

  • Japanese pilot's head rolls past the burning fuselage @ 2:09, lol. That's what it looks like anyway.

  • @Normacly but the bf 109 had a much kills in the end too and they had pilots who saw not much training...

  • reddiethecat but you shouldn't forget that the germans had problems with ressources and pilots

and the bf 109 was so good like the p 51

  • @bmwdb605 Face to face? No. Me-109 was not as maneuverable. The P-51 is a lot faster. Firepower? I give the Me-109 the edge as 2X20mm is something to worry about. So as six or eight .50 cal. If it was the Fw-190 then it all depend on the pilot. The German aces mainly came from the Eastern Front. Not trying to down them but the Soviet did not have good air force until 1944 or so with the YaK-51 and it's counter-parts. As well as trained pilots who learn how to use dogfight tactics.

  • LOL, the ki 84 shoot the p51 100 times whit cannons, and the p51 shoot 1 time and hit the fuel xD

  • @IIJG3andGFC I'm a all american boy, but I agree that ki 84 F'd that p51 up lol. The 51 even on its best day didnt have self sealing engine and one hit from a machine gun bullet to the radiator is a knock out blow. Still amazing beautiful animation, I want more!!!

  • @IIJG3andGFC the ki 84 didn't have armor anywhere. Generally one well placed burst and the battle was over.

  • @msspi764 I know that the A6M zero havent any armor , but the later planes had some..

  • Comment removed

  • Is nobody getting the point, the German jets were fragile slash attack weapons with dangerous engines, the point i make is as much as I love the P 51 it was outclassed by the FW190 as the early mark spits were, One on one FW190 was a match for any allied war bird the spits improved and caught up as it was always in the airframe, MK9 was a match for the 190 more than, but it was always a dangerous plane to tanglewith.

  • 2:10 kinda looks like his head rolling on the right side of the broken aircraft.

  • U all underestimate the Ki 84. It was the japanese equivalent of the P-51. High altitude service. Very heavy cannons (4 20 mills i think) great verticle great speed great turn. The design was genious and gave stang pilots more than a run for their money. It was built to intercept high altitude B29s and stangs

  • @dmr22weinmann later versions had 2 30 mm cannons and 2 20mm cannons. The design was actually flawed. It had some wooden parts which made survivability very hard. Mustangs could take more damage also, and better speed.

  • P-51s are like gods of the sky. So all yall Red Alert 3 (good game) nerds who play empire way too much this is WWII not WWIV or whatever. fuck off.

  • @FighterGuDude3214

Dora, Ki 84, Bf 109 G4 are better.

  • @ZLIgari The pwny'll take a KI-84 anyday of the week. Dora... well... a monkey with a brick-bat could kill her. BF-109 actually has... kind of a chance against a Mustang. Emphasis on kind of.

  • Comment removed

  • @ZLIgari LISTEN YOU FAG, I have respect for other nations' planes, like I love the BF (ME) 109, the Zero, or the KI84. It's just... well ours are kind of the best. Sorry. Oh, and that little "fuck off" comment? You should try it. It'd do the world a favor.

  • i love the comments made here by people that have no knowledge of ww2 aircraft. the pony can outturn a ki84 easily. and has a much more powerful engine. it is overall a better aircraft that the ki84. the only advantage the ki84 has is its a bit better in the vertical and it posses 2 cannons.

and the ki-61 being better than the p-51? that made me LOL.

  • @petrey958 The 190's between A-6 and A9 series were better than the p-51 under the 5000 mts.. higher, the p-51 was better..

the 190 D was better than the 51....

and the Ta-152 H... was MUCH better than the 51...

the 51 was a great fighter (speed, armament "6x.50cal" visibility etc)

but some german planes were better.... remember that not everything is speed

P.D: for nothing the allies called the 190 "the butcher bird"...

  • @petrey958

    Dude..51 has 1500hp Packard, the 84 has 2000hp Nakajima.

    51 was 10000lb loaded for TO, the 84 8000.

51 had full flaps, 84, Fowlers.

84 was WAY better at lo alt TnB than 51.

Only reason they lost was 4x1 odds!!!

  • @kenns9 Here are the numbers P51 Maximum speed: 437 mph W Range: 1,650 mi (2,755 km) W Service ceiling: 41,900 ft (12,800 m) W Rate of climb: 3,200 ft/min (16.3 m/s) L Power/mass: 0.18 hp/lb (300 W/kg) L Ki84 Maximum speed: 628 km/h (390 mph) L Range: 2,155 km (1,339 mi) L Service ceiling: 10,500 m (34,450 ft) L Rate of climb: 19.25 m/s (3,790 ft/min) W Power/mass: 0.41 kW/kg (0.25 hp/lb) W I think between a Ki84 and a P-51 the best pilot would win, because they are so close.
  • @kraigthorne It is obviously not so close. The only performance advantage (by the numbers) for the P51 is the service ceiling. You have omitted the Mustangs slightly superior firepower and the Ki-84's significantly superior maneuverability.

Reasons for the Ki-84's lack of success are historical. The Japanese Empire was collapsing. Many planes were grounded because service and spare parts were not available. In some cases ammunition, oil, fuel or serviceable runways were not available.

  • @StimuLAZ I think if your read the stats of both planes like I have, you would agree with me.

  • @StimuLAZ What about the Ki-84's lack of armor? Japanese planes burst into flames pretty easily if you did get behind them.

  • @kevinpater towards the end of the war fighter s of the japanese started to improve those flaws as the Ki-100 , N1k, And Ki-84 had armor included as well as self sealing fuel tanks but these came too little to late. of those 3 the Ki-84 was the most produced with a little over three thousand produced. the Ki 84 could match the best the allies had and at medium altitude they could not catch it and the same was true of the N1K. The Ki-100 was the Hellcats match.

  • @StimuLAZ did you not read? the only performance advantages for the P-51 are the service ceiling, SPEED, AND RANGE. and between them the better pilot WOULD win, just as history and reality shows.

  • ki-61 jack is better than p-51

  • @comissairevanloc Dude, the f**king Jack can't hit shit. Horrible engine.

  • @comissairevanloc Oh, dude did I mention the KI-61 is the "Tony". Idiot.

  • rofl this is the ultimate fail of any simulation a plane fight on grand theft auto is more realistic than this

  • the p-51 would of totaly been shot down way faster than that

  • Dear God, help them! Microsoft Narrator is under attack by the effin JAPS!!

  • Haha, American P51s attack a village... I knew this was Japanese even before the thing started. I wonder if this guy made a video about defenseless Chinese cities getting pummeled by bombs from Japanese planes..

  • @vetitoe362 Sigh. If you knew more things, the Americans attacked ANYTHING they could in Japan, villages, farms, EVERYTHING. You should know history!

  • @spanish111japan And the Japanese DIDN'T? Ever hear of the Rape of Nanking?

  • @jeffhickman10 Did i ever say japan didn't do that?

  • @spanish111japan You surely IMPLIED it.

  • @jeffhickman10 Explain how, because i didn't. Americans act intelligent, but are dumber than my asshole.

  • @spanish111japan Chickenshit cocksucker.

  • @jeffhickman10 Someone has a rage attack :D

  • So nice animation..great mate !!!!!!

  • great animation

  • That's incredible! It that footage from a game?

  • There are a lot of stories of Ki 84's outfighting the Mustang, or for that matter, the Hellcat. The main problem at this point was a lack of decent quality pilots. In this video, if the guys flying the Franks knew what they were doing, those P51's would be toast.

  • @wilmanric1 Wouldn't stand a chance against a P-38 though.

  • @Sting3733 I LOVE the P-38! May not be the "best" fighter of WW 2 (If it is possible at all to say any plane is "the best") but it is one of the coolest!

  • @wilmanric1 Yeah the P-38 was a monster. Those WWII planes were really all great though, really depended on the pilot.

  • @Sting3733 That's the absolute truth. In the hands of a real expert, any fighter was deadly. That's why all the top Japanese Navy aces flew the Zero, and the top Luftwaffe aces flew the 109! Anyone who flew in a war has fond feelings for their plane, no matter it's real qualities. There's a book out by a guy who lovingly writes about the P 39 Airacobra, even though one of it's nicknames was "The Iron Dog." No matter what it was, if it kept your ass alive, you loved it!

  • naja übertreib ma halt wiedr a bissl amis. ich bin so sehr überrascht über den ausgang dieses gefechts...unglaublich die euphorie wuhooo!!! -.-

  • I AM DISSAPOINT.

  • seems like a video game

  • shit, i'm hit

  • The Ki84 was designed more like American fighters with high wing loading, armor for the pilot, self-sealing fuel tanks and heavy armament. The P51 could and did turn with them quite well.

  • last kill was epic
