Cartel will release their EP in late Sept. Then, the front man "Will Pugh" has a surprise for all who are dedicated to his fantastic voice! Solo project in the works. The band has not declared a break-up and if the sound of this EP is any indication of what is the future for "CARTEL". No break-up is necessary!
@musicisall181 i was thinking the same thing, but he might just have been confused because Jeff Lett did leave earlier this year to finish school...the band itself has not broken up and this single off their soon-to-be-released EP is brand new
@musicisall181 Oh my bad I was reading there wikipedia page and it read Jeff Lett left the band and the band and Lett SPLIT on good terms.. for some reason I read that as the band also split. They arent breaking up though thank god :)
I dont see Cartel breaking up anytime soon, lol that guys dumb. I just they been chillin. Will gave an interviwew saying theyve decided to start releasing EPs more often. Im glad theyve released this, its amazing (:
I have waited for years hoping they'd go in a more.. self titled album direction. I'm really disappointed.. I'm not saying other people shouldn't enjoy it, but I personally, am not too impressed.
They probably wrote this while smoking marijuana...I went to one of their shows once, and I talked to Will, and he said that they basically had to smoke marijuana every time they wrote a record...it was kind of depressing because they seemed like an innocent and funny pop-rock band. But now I always associate their music with drugs...it bums me out and doesn't seem all that fun and energetic anymore... :'( :'(
@provehitoinaltum928 don't mean to be a downer, but do you realize how many people (including band members) smoke weed? It's just something they do, it's not who they are. I'm definitely not condoning the use of drugs or anything, but you shouldn't let that ruin the music.
@provehitoinaltum928 wow.... are you joking. weed is barely even considered a drug anymore, places all over the world are trying to make it legal and you can already smoke weed in some places. Its also healther then smoking cigarettes. and who cares if they smoked a joint, there music is still awesome.

Cartel did NOT break up. Bassist left to finish school. But it was all on good terms that he left.
