Have you heard the R with the rs-2 yet? thats what I want to buy. I plan on getting the fci intake system and a fuel programmer myself. How do yo think she will run? Is it gonna be a huge difference over stock or not really?

I have a yfz450r wth this exhaust system. no you do not need a efi for just a slip on and your not really gonna notice any power difference just a little sound. if your spending like 300 bucks your better spending the extra 200 n get the full. if you gonna do it do it right get the whole thing

i have a 2010 yfz-x with the same pipe but slip-on it kinda bogs in lower rpm's and doesn't completely open up on top. Do you think i just need a fuel controller? looking at the hmf controller and airbox lid removed maybe?

Mine did this too, you will need fuel controller for sure. shoot me an email bvcracing@gmail.com and i can get you a deal on one! also, you will want to super-glue your tip over sensor.. mine would glitch out all the time and make my quad bog on hard landings like in the video. and, i also run with the airbox lid most of the time... actually was a tad more responsive. I am going to test running the lid with small cut outs or vents.

I run a wiseco controller, but HMF does the same thing... id get controller first and try both. Some days i run lid, some days i dont...  shoot me an email bvcracing@gmail.com and ill get you a deal on the controller

we tested both, and honestly the HMF seemed to have more overall power.. Even on a wet/damp track that robs power i could still pull 4th, where b4 4th with the old exhaust felt dead.. Really woke it up.

louder no, just a different kind of sound.. DRD was real loud and the packing only lasted a few months...

and for the tip, there was no tip... just as loud as it could be for the video

i had a 2004 trx450r with full motor mods (high compression, porting, cam..etc) and ran a full HMF, and liked it alot. Go full not slip on. FULL is the way to go . Have not tested dasa but heard good things about those too. I have always ran HMF.

what do you think of the yfzr compared to the other 450s out? someday i might trade off my trx450r for either a kfx or yfzr.....i love the wider width and efi but the kfx has reverse which comes in handy.....do you think the yfz is faster?

Also, white quad (mine) runs a tad crisper..has a 2008 yfz450 intake cam which helped a bit. The blue one is all stock other than the pipe and controller.
